Wow! dual sub pala ang target mo brader.  By the way, what's the sonic character of Synchrony One B compared to Imagine B?

Very transparent ang Synchrony master. Close your eyes and you'll feel that you're in the same room as the singer. Ganun ka ganda ang Synchrony. *sigh* Kelan kaya ako mananalo sa lotto :D

Okay din ba PSB for HT?  What model would you recommend?  Also considering GoldenEar Technology but I want the better of the two.

Yes sir. What is nice with PSB specially the Image and Alpha line is it's very easy to power. So using an AVR wouldn't have any difficulty in driving them. Regarding Golden Ear, since it's using a ribbon tweeter, in my own opinion a tube amp matches them better.

Hmm. My audition with the imagine b was really short parang 10-15mins lang, and may katagalan na yun so take this with a grain of salt.

I found the Synchrony has a more refined treble. It makes the Imagine seem brighter although, both are designed by Paul Barton so one would assume that they are both designed to be flat. The Imagine B is something that you would consider warm-sounding already after all it was compared to a Harbeth by a Stereophile reviewer. The One B also has more bass, more punchy, and goes lower due to cabinet and driver size. The mids is cleaner with the Synchrony IMO. The Synchrony One B excels in imaging and depth perception too, I mean like crazy man!

BUT Ang nag trigger sakin bumili ng Synchrony One B was when I compared it to the Dynaudio Excite x16.

Maganda pala talaga ang synchrony one b master.  Now I know what speaker to buy when I upgrade my audio set up.

Nice and very detailed review of Synchrony One B brader.   I am convinced that synchrony one B is definitely a way to go for an upgrade to my Imagine B.   Pa-pm naman kung magkano ang discounted price na bigay ni Rex sa yo?

Hi PSB Experts,

What back speakers do you recommend to pair with a Image B6 and Image C5 speakers? Not to expensive (below 20k) but will blend with the speakers well.

Thank you :)

You can get another set of B6 or can go with a smaller model like a B5 or B4. An Alpha B1 also works well, this is what I use as surround speakers paired with my T6.

Just wanna share some individual testing done from another forum on the subseries 300.

the published specs by psb seems to be under rated as it seems to do +/- 3db @ 21Hz easily.

the author also compared this with his other subs. quite impressive results with such a small footprint.

Bili ka na master. I never dreamt of upgrading or replacing mine. I only dream of adding another one. Sulit na sulit. A highly flexible sub that can make you feel not just hear those heavy bass scenes. Very clean sounding and has good room interaction. Integrates well into music making the sound stage larger than it is. It also performs very well in terms of decay and tightness for a ported sub. An added advantage is the smaller footprint it has compared to its competitors. :)

They say it is. But i never bothered to try since psbs require good current to play its best.

try to audition sir in watt hihi MCS.

i used to have imagine b paired with bada vaccum tube (45 wpc ultra/22 wpc triode).  in terms of power sounds like a floor stander.  in terms of SQ smooth, detailed, forgiving highs, clear mids and plenty of lows. in terms of character, warm, engaging, no complaints.

Finally heard a pair of PSB speakers last weekend sa HIFI show.

I was impressed by how the speakers deliver the midrange, excellent in reproducing male and female vocals.

However, i find the highs to be thin sounding.

Overall, I find the build quality and sound quality were very good for the price.

*Show demo was an Image B6 + NAD 326bee + NAD DAC + MACbook AIR

Questionable lang sakin yung source siguro(mac).

I think the questionable part is that they were running iTunes (afaik). Amarra or Audirvana would likely deliver better results.

The setup was still satisfying to listen to, imo.

i was surprise that they were showcasing image B6 which is their basic model (of course may alpha series pa), i suspect they were emphasizing SQ to cost.

i thought they would at least showcase the imagine series to create a lasting impression on the brand.  other exhibitors were showcasing their high-end if not their reference series.

well, this is just me though.

This is what I noticed too (the Tannoy room as well), they could've used a more "audiophile" software player to showcase their product in the event, there's a 15 day trial naman for the said softwares.

+1 on source

I have tested on my T6

Popcorn hour C200 via Coaxial + Rega DAC + Nad 275 + Nad 165

VS

Laptop Jriver + Music Fidelity VLink 192 via Coaxial + Rega Dac + Nad 275 + Nad 165

Using same FLAC Files side by side Playing just changing the Input source on the Pre-Amp..

Ang layo ng difference  between two sources while all other things are equal.. Dito ko nalaman na Laki din pala impact ng maganda ang source...
