Van Del Hul Cs122 gamit ko sa One B ko. You might wanna try it too :) Although honestly non-cable believer ako.

I'm also a non cable believer, and i'm afraid if i spend money on new cables baka pag sisihan ko pag wala ako ma notice na difference...

To be honest when i replaced my old cable which was a 14 gauge generic cable na nabibili lang dyan sa tabi tabi, and the cable was like12 years old already.. nag kukulay green na nga yung copper sa loob, with my cable right now which came from Louie, a 10 gauge cable na mas maganda ang quality kesa sa old cable ko.. wala naman akong na notice na improvement nor difference on SQ he he he

Ako naman i heard a difference talaga. Then i got back to reality and realized it was just my imagination :d

Anyway i dont wanna burst bubbles here pero some people swear on cables. Its just that i belong to the 'music lovers' camp, not audiophiles. Barton openly despises audiophile cables on one podcast years ago (im not sure where i can find it again). I dont see any reason to overthink cables . Alan shaw from harbeth also do not believe in cables. The musical fidelity guy too, and one of the guys who started  mcintosh aint a believer. Too bad they cater to audiophiles hence, the need to manufacture cables :d

The only reason i bought the cs122 is it is heavily silver coated. I want the cable to be worry-free from oxidation for years plus, it looks good with the synchrony. That might be one of the buying factors youd wanna consider sir ;)

ahem..bookmarking and back-reading this thread :)

initial questions:

1. for those using Image B6+C5 combo, what crossover settings did you use? all 80?
2. how many hours kaya ang break-in nito?
3. did you bi-wire?

1. My B6 - 80hz / C5 -40hz-60hz
2. Paul Barton of PSB dont believe in speaker break in.. He said that the speaker sound good right out of the box he he he.. Pero siguro sa initial listening, just play @ moderate volume for 2-4 hours just to loosen up the cone a little bit
3. I dont bi wire, they say no difference.. and i'm bad in hearing any differences from cables or power cables unlike differences in Speakers SQ..

^thanks! will try out 60hz for center.

another question, do you guys put the grill on or not? i find the PSBs nicer to look at without the grill. May benefit ba if kept on?

Kung walang malikot na bata or anybody that would play with it, ok lang na walang grill... The tweeter is so sensitive, even with the softest brush ma diding yan... so be careful with the tweeter....

Duly noted @Courage and @china-man.

On another note, confirming that Psb Image + Denon 1713 sounds good together.

Also, the B6 sounds great for concerts (David Foster & Friends, Adele, Diana Krall, Eagles) and even for stereo listening. Labasan mga Lisa Ono, Carole King and Sinatra CDs ko =)

Try mo idol instead of speaker wire, interconnects. Para sa akin may difference sa ICs. The worst i have tried are cambridge audio ICs. Magaspang tunog vs el cheapo ICs. Certain VDH ICs naman have more constraint on the lower end. Kaya nga minsan the more expensive it is, it doesn't mean it's better.

It is a good starting point sir, once he upgrades to a bigger bookshelf or floorstander he can move those B5s for his surround.

Yeah.. tha's the plan :) I'm gonna have to ask him what he prefers.. But this is better than any budget FS right? Let's say the Warfes or PSB Aplha?

Add a little and get the B6 na.. Konti na lang difference eh... Then later on your friend can get the B5 or Alpha B1 for surrounds, unless ang plano ng Friend mo eh mag FS..

Good luck on your speaker hunt... Your options are both good. You wouldn't go wrong if you choose any of the two... It's now all up to you on which sounds best for you....

I had my synchrony one b attached to a rotel 1520 before. It was still warm sounding with transparent midrange. Compared to the nad 375 the rotel was a less exciting listen. Of course i am now living with the 375 and no plans going back to rotels current integrated lineup. Although i admit the rotel was fancier to look at. My gf liked the 1520 better and  she thought the 375 was like worth 2k or something hehehehe. Women.

pwede sir.

onkyo neutral to warmish
psb warmish

but best is to audition, just bring your onkyo amp.

i use onkyo and image c5 for center and b5 for surround, front is chopsuey kasi time share with my two channel set-up.

That would work. The image series is very easy to power. I even used to try an entry level pioneer 521 into my T6 and it was driven very well. For subs, what will be your budget?
