I'm planning to buy an audio system primarily for playing DVDs. Medyo limited ang budget ko. Approximately 3X3 meters ang dimensions ng room ko. I will match this with a Pana LE7.

I'm thinking of buying Whaferdale 9.1 BS, WH2 Center and Rear/Surround Speakers to match with an ancient Sakura AV-388 amp (di ko alam ang specs nito). Ang budget ko for now is 10,000 pesos.

Sa tingin niyo ba OK na ganyan muna gawin ko? Baka may mai-suggest kayong ibang way that would provide satisfactory audio experience for now and at the same time, give me a whole lot room to upgrade next time. Tight talaga ang budget ko ngayon.

you're on the right track with the 9.1. its good with music and movies. suprising that you can get good  music from a 5000php speaker. i suggest you save some more and get pioneer or yamaha receiver, kahit 2nd hand. skip the sakura.. thats just me. good luck

yip, buy a more decent pre-owned 5.1 receiver.... your choice of speakers are ok as of the moment but you might want to audition them first....
