In order for the Spurs to win, Ginobili must play his usual game. He must be able to create for himself offensively. The Lakers have put the clamps on him this past two games.

Based on stats, Ginobili's game dips below his average against the Lakers.  14pt/game lang ata as against his scoring average of 20.  (Not too sure of the numbers though)
But what this means is that the Lakers has at least two things going for them:
  • 1. Kobe is the only player that the Spurs find difficult to stop
  • 2. The Lakers have Ginobili's number

And oh, Boston in 5!!!

The Celtics woke up just in time... that lost at home really woke them up.. expect them to dominate this Detriot team on the way to a much-coveted Lakers-Celtics Final!!!

The Lakers won game 1 & 2 not mainly becoz of Bryant but becoz they plays as a team. The Spurs just cant match the intensity being rendered by every Laker that was put into the game. Of course Ginobili's sub par performance in both games tells it all. The results of game 1 could have gone either way and game 2 wouldn't have been a blowout had the Spurs win game 1. Well if the Spurs can't win game 3 then the series is over.

Kobe carried the Lakers in Game 1!  If SA was just able to stop him it would have been 1-1.  For Game 2, it was Lamar and Fish who made the big difference.

As for Manu, does it need to be called sub-par performance when historically it looks like the Lakers have got his number? (One of these days I'll dig those darn stats  :))

Just saw C/S Sports' ad - Game 4 of the Boston-Detroit series will also be shown live on free TV Tuesday morning.  Ayos!  Looks like we can expect continuing/daily live telecasts of the Conference Finals this week until early next week on C/S Sports (if both match-ups last that long  ::)).
We deserve better.

I remember the Sixers won game 1 but the Pistons who had home court still blew out the Sixers in game 2.

2-1 na.

Bounce back game for all of the Spurs, which was I expected (but praying it wont happen).   Great game for them.

I do expect PhilJax to make the necessary defensive adjustments for the Lakers.

There was a definite extra bounce in the steps of the Spurs.
Manu was defenitely his usual getting 4 treys in the 1st half.

I'd say that the Spurs still have their backs against the wall in game 4.
If they don't come up with a win, the Lakers can close it out at home (where are the Spurs have been atrocious).

Talo Lakers.. :( :-\ Oh well..

Its rather expected.  The Spurs are still the defending champs.   They jumped over the possible 3-0 hole.   Im expecting to see a more tight game 4.  If it goes 2-2, pressure will be on the young Lakers to win game 5 at home.

Game 4 will be on Wednesday, 9am local time.

I expect Spurs to win game 4 because if they don't the series is definitely over. There is really something about the homecourt this playoffs.  ;D Biglang lumakas si Ginobili nung napunta na sa San Antonio and everybody from their team is shooting the basket well especially Barry who is virtually non-existent in Games 1 and 2.  :D

Yeah, they played like a defending champ should.   Getting those early blows, but getting back up to punch some of its own.   They may be called floppers, but Pop has taught them how not to make excuses.   Ginobili never made an excuse for his game 1 and 2 blunders.

Its a refreshing trend, unlike the Big Cactus from Arizona, who always find an excuse for every loss his team takes.

Classic Line: "we just need more time to blend together".   He said that from the time he got traded from up to they were ousted by the Spurs.

The Spurs are after all 4-time champs.  They are not just going to roll over to the Lakers.

If Lakers win game 4, Spurs are on a hole.

If Spurs win game 4, they have slight momentum.

^ Yeah!  Detroit got a big lift from McDyess and Maxiell - Joe Dumars really makes excellent picks.  Game 5 should be a classic!

I hope the other series out West will have a 3-1 count tomorrow, instead of 2-2.  :)
