my point exactly. everyone is so gung ho to see a la/boston matchup that to think that it'll go otherwise is unacceptable. the thing is, there is still that possiblity that we'll get the otherwise.

Many will consider it to be a dream come true w/ the Lakers Celtics finale yet many will also be disappointed when it turns otherwise. So near yet so far. . .

Not for us Spurs fans eventhough I would prefer a Celtics-Spurs or Celtics-Lakers in the finals.

I didn't see the last play. I turned off my tv after a 7-pt lead from the Lakers with less than a minute to go but it seems there is a controversy regarding that play.

Wala bang video ng last play diyan?

Contested play. 2.1 seconds, Spurs ball down by two.

Barry got the ball at the top of the key, 3-5ft beyond the 3point line. He faked the shot, got bumped by Fisher. No call.

There will be much talk about that play especially when the lead ref of that game was Joey Crawford who was suspended last year I think for the rest of the season after a controversial call that he made which threw Timmy out of the game. Hmmmm...

the referees were just being consistent... on making bad calls, that is.. too bad the Spurs were at the receiving end of that last one.. LA has to win big in game 5..

I agree on that but in a crucial game and a crucial play that is unforgivable. Well...wala na rin magagawa series is 3-1 na. Hats off on the Lakers because they played a good defence all throughout the game. Now Spurs needs to think of getting young reinforcement next year to battle it out with the younger teams. :'( Series is almost over. Bawi na lang tayo next year.

n retrospect,

1. Where's Manu?? Bounce Back game uli sya. But this time in a bad way. 6 points on 2-8 shooting. He is fortunate Barry filled up the void, saving his ass.

2. The Spurs is really doing a good job keeping Kobe out of the FT line. He didnt attempted any freethrows in game 4. Only 6 FT attempts the whole series. That is pretty unbelievable.

3. Tim Duncan got tired in the 4th quarter. Popovich has no choice but to leave him there. Manu may been their team's best player whole season, but Duncan is still their pillar of strength.

4. Odom kept his promise to play a better game. His 8 4th quarter points were crucial in giving the Lakers a sizeable lead in a close game.

5. Wondering there was no foul in that last play? It really doesnt help debunk that conspiracy for a dream series most of the fans want.

I agree on Kobe's free throw attempts.. Bowen's doing a good job keeping in step with him.. good thing though, Kobe is hitting his jumpers.. but he has to take it inside more just like he did in the 2nd half of game 1.. they can't win if he just takes jumpers all game long..

Barry should have just gone up for the shot. Refs rarely make a call to decide the game or save a player's butt.

1. I think he's really injured today but that is not an excuse.

2. At the start of this series, I thought that Bowen cannot stop Kobe but with what I've seen Kobe is really having a hard time with his defence. He became a jump shooter in this series that is why he don't have many FT attempts.

3. It's a crucial game for the Spurs that is why Pop gambled of putting Duncan in the game overtime. He has no choice because Lakers is playing well and only Barry and Duncan are doing a great job on the offensive end.

4.He is an inconsistent player. You really don't know when he is going to play well.

5. Break of the game.

With that,

I expect the Lakers to close out the series in game 5.

1. Spurs will be the more tired team. Duncan and Parker played 45 and 42 minutes in a hard-fought game 4.

2. Game 5 will be in Staples, and the Lakers obviously dont want to go back in San Antonio.

3. The Lakers didnt play game 4 the way they wanted too. But they had better pacing in the game, so they will be fresher coming to game 5. The morale boost of winning a hard fought game will also add to their confidence.

Disclaimer though, the Spurs are still the defending Champs. They are maybe on the ropes, but ala Rocky Balboa, they will fight to the end. And this Lakers surrendered the same lead to Phoenix two years ago, although it is not the same team.

Bowen's still purposely extending his leg whenever he defends anyone. Just watch him defend Kobe in the series and when Kobe pulls for a J, Bruce Lee's leg finds it way to where Kobe's feet should land. That's an excellent way to break someone's ankle(s). I hope Kobe lands his feet on Bowen's knees if he doesn't stop doing that.

Not really a disappointing playoffs for the Spurs. It's almost a given that they don't defend their title or repeat as champs.

they knew that they also had a break....the fisher shot grazed the rim before hitting Horry's leg then going out of bounds. The shot clock should have been reset.
