MANILA, Philippines—Comedian Wally Bayola who hid from the public after he figured in a sex tape controversy, surprised the audience of GMA Network’s show “Eat Bulaga” on Saturday when he appeared for the birthday of Jose Manalo, Bayola’s tandem in the entertainment industry.
“Kaibigan, sorry, sorry talaga… (My friend, I’m really sorry),” Bayola told Manalo in the segment “Juan for All, All for Juan.”
It has been four months since the comedian got embroiled in a sex scandal in September 2013 when a video emerged showing a couple, who look like Wally and EB Babe Yosh, engaged in a steamy sex.
In the show Saturday, Manalo hugged Bayola, who was buried in his partner’s chest too choked in tears to speak properly. Beside the tandem, fellow segment host Paolo Ballesteros held the cake for Manalo.
“Sa mga manonood, sorry po talaga. Sorry sa aking mga kasalanan. Bigyan niyo po ako ng isa pang pagkakataon (To the audience, I’m really sorry. Sorry for my mistakes. Please give me another chance),” Bayola said.
Manalo conforted the distraught Bayola and told televiewers that what matters now is that Bayola admitted his mistakes.
“Ang importante, nandito ka sa harap ng mga tao at inaamin mo lahat ng kasalanan mo (What’s important is you are here to admit to the people your mistakes),” Manalo said.
“Tandaan mo ang Diyos, hindi marunong magparusa, hindi ka paparusahan (Remember, God does not punish people. He won’t punish you),” he added.
Before his appearance in the GMA show, Bayola had been seen doing stand-up comedy in the Zirkoh Comedy Bar in Quezon City.
