What do you use to clean the screen? Any special liquid we can use?

I tried removing stains from my LCD monitor using Wipe Out from ACE Hardware.  Does the job well.  ;)

My LCD came with a free cleaning cloth with instructions. Just spray a little water on the cloth and wipe on! ;)

Me too, just a plain water. A moist clean cotton cloth followed by a dry cotton cloth.

Does it leave any marks or swirl marks? and how much did it cost you?

to remove dust, i use a high-pressure air blower.
to remove smudges on the body and panel, i use a Joya microfiber cleaning cloth slightly damped with water -- as instructed in the owners manual
i don't recommend using anything else.

No marks whatsoever. Bought it for P55k.

Tried using plain water and soft cloth but there are some stubborn stains which would make you to rub the cloth on the surface evenmore.

Yes you can try Wipe Out or MC (around P50-P60 only) :) and microfiber for the screen (P85-P500 depending on the brand and sometimes it comes in bundle). I highly recommend microfiber when you clean your highly sensitive LCD screen so it wont leave any scratch. You can buy these products in Ace Hardware.  ;)

I use 50% distilled water and 50% alcohol on a shammy. This is how it should be.

theres this brush i got from ace hardware that gets all the dust (dust sticks to the brush via static). i never touch my lcd screen so it does not have smudges so far.

but the only way to clean an lcd screen is with water and a clean microfibre cloth. this is what i do to my laptop which gets oil smudges just from closing the lid as it gets the oil from the keyboard.

I've read that distilled water is better than tap water because it has chemical that may still damage the lcd screen (maybe the high content of chlorine).  Btw I only use microfibre on my LCD screen and MC or Wipeout on both sides and on the back. :)

This is what I'm using sa plasma ko, which i'm sure is also applicable sa lcd panels.

One side (shown here with the thick hair-like fibers) is for the body of the panel, reverse side is micro fiber cloth for the panel surface.  Very effective, high quality and gentle cleaner for your panel, for only P199 in Ace hardware.   :)

A member was using a brush, but the wire used to hold it together scratched his TV screen.

yeah i read that post some time back. what im using is a small small brush. (parang pang blush on make up ng girls) its made from a circular plastic then you slide this thing then the bristles come out.

:)

im sure this is safe...no wires.

iv'e tried spraying water on microfiber cloth on my lcd panel, and it left a stain or smudge, or something like that. And it can't be wiped off by a dry cloth. I'd recommend those non-ammonia cleaners, like wipeout and mc.

to clean my plasma & lcd, i just use the oakley cleaning cloth - no liquids or any other chemicals.   if it doesn't scratch my oakley and my other sunglasses, then it won't scratch my display panels :)

Cleaning your Flat Panel Display (Plasma / LCD)
Hi Pinoy DVD Family,
I have tried searching for this topic in the threads but found only one possible match and it falls under the Pana PV70 topic.  I just bought my Kuro PDP 508XG and since it is very black in nature, dust particles are easily seen on the screen - more so for finger prints/marks.

I would like to start this topic on cleaning our Flat Panel Displays whether Plasma or LCD.

To start, I bought a Scotch Brite Electronics Cleaning Cloth in The Handyman of Robinson's Place Ermita last year.  I'm not really sure if this is safe for wiping my Plasma TV.  The cleaning cloth included in my TV was very small, the texture seems like that of eyeglass cleaners.

Can you advise:
1.) How you clean your Flat Panel Display?
2.) What is the best material (brand of product and store location) to clean with?
3.) Is there anyone selling the cleaning cloth of the Pioneer Kuro, but BIGGER in size?

Many thanks!

I also use an Electronics Cleaning Cloth (Microtex Brand) I bought in computer shops.  Its supposed to be safe for LCD screens.  So far, it does the job on my Samsung 19" LCD screen.

To remove fingerprints and some stubborn dirt, I also use a spray cleaning fluid --- also available in computer shops.

I also use the cleaning cloths available at electronic shops. does a fine job naman.  :D

Meron akong nakitang malaking "microfiber" cleaning cloth sa BLADE GB1 e (can't remember the brand, though). Same/similar material as the one I have. 4 sheets ata yun, selling for P950.00. Cguro naman available yan sa other Blade branches.

purchased one yesterday at handyman at trinoma. it's a glove type rag and the fabric is similar to those soft stuff toys. it indicated no scratches and no swirl marks. price php160++

very satisfied with it!
