LG owners, is there IR of black bars when you watch movies w/ 2:35 aspect ratio? or does it goes away when you watch w/ 1:85? wanted to watch Iron Man and Incredible Hulk but i'm afraid of the IR it will cause.

I think the model number depends on a particular country also. In our case, the 32PG60 is a full HD LCD.

yep but only for a few seconds
there are also times that i dont see any IR ..
it was explained that it could only be like when you stare at something for a while then then staring at a blank view (plain color), youd see a shadow of the image that you have viewed .. (ang labo anoh!)
btw dont be afraid of IR cause its only temporary ..
what i do with my LG is, i just switch to tv for a second or two then switch back to my htpc or ps3 (if im viewing a bluray movie) .. hth

i was so satisfied with my LG, until jeff "made me an offer i cant refuse " ..

I agree... IR does happen on the LG but after you shift to different scene... the IR goes away...

Ninjababez... so hows your new PANA 42" PV80? :)

Wonder if Jeff could also offer me a good deal on a 42"incher too... might follow suit?  hehehe sell my LG and upgrade? :)

Paging Nemesis... any deals for an upgrade? :)

ok here's my take ..

1. PS3 gaming - at 1080i and 720p no complaints for me, eventhough this is a edtv it still yield detailed (HD) gaming (much like your CRT monitor vs lcd in comparison).  just dont use old titles, and when i say old titles i mean COD3 and earlier games.  why? because they were games that were made for ps2 not ps3 .. so dont expect too much, but cod3 for me was good enough  :)

2. cable TV viewing - perfect when i tried it with my neighbors skycable.  but using my f*cked up destiny, mas maganda pa ang rabbit antenna, promise .. let me add that while watching it via the rabbit antenna it was way better than the two cable tv providers (problema lang minsan yung signal) :)

buhakee di ko ata na-demo yung cable tv broadcast sayo baka di mo bilihin .... destiny cable sucks in pembo st. makati .. !! hehehe

3. dvd viewing - just make sure youre using a good copy of dvd9 disk and youre all set!  by this i mean "re-released" (tama ba term ko??) versions for older titles and original dvd9's (ok lang p*rat*d basta orig yung transfer).  and bluray dibidi naman it really depends on how they transfer the title .. (asked buhakee when i played alvin and the chipmunks "blueray") ^_^ .. one of my favorite transfer !!!
NOTE: avoid dvd5 titles (specially the ones from video c!ty)

4. .mkv viewing - perfect but still dependent on the copy .. :)

5. bluray viewing - perfect but still dependent on the copy .. :) (so far so good!!)

sorry no photos to share horng, but i can tell you one thing .. comparing this with an lcdtv is a no contest .. :)
but to give you an idea .. im more into PQ and detail ..
btw this speaker is good enough for small rooms and all you need to add is a sub .. cause like most tv speakers, it lacks the "thump" ;)

did u just purchase a 42pv8 also?how was it?will it lost some detail in pq because of bigger screen size compare to 32pv5rv?and is the speaker system good enough for me to count out the additional theater system?cause i might consider it if i able to save a bit more!! :D

Got this new 32" LG Plasma from Theatreworks.  Iba nga talaga sa personal itong TV na 'to.  Ang masasabi ko lang is. "Wooooowwwwwwwwww!"  ;)

Thanks Jeff.  It's been great doing business with you.  Kahit di tayo nagkita di naman ako pinabayaan ni Belen saka nung isa mo pang staff na lalake (sa sobrang excitement ko sa unit di ko na natanong name nya ;D)  I'll recommend your shop to all my friends needing the same stuff.

One happy customer here.  Love my newest purchase.  Till next time.

Maraming maraming salamat talaga, Jeff.
