to the lg 32pc5rv users, na try nyo na ba gamitin ito continuously for tv watching (say 8-10 hours straight, daily)?  baka maging ganito kasi ang usage ng unit ko pag na-setup ko na e (di maiiwasan ang watching habits ng mga kasama sa bahay, ayoko naman i-off limits sa kanila hehe)

im concerned with the possibility of burn in of channel logos, "parental guidance", etc when using lg plasma for extended tv viewing

any inputs regarding this? thanks!

Hi Sir buhakee, I own an LG 32" Plasma for about a month now.  Been watching with it 10 hours a day on the average.  Burn-in is never a problem, sometimes may image retention pero nawawala naman din agad.

Inaalala ko lang ngayon Meralco bill ko hehehe.

+1

No problems on image retention.... specially during weekends....

from 10 am ~ 6pm (Watching tv / internet )

Just finished testing the PS3 BluRay Movie (Superman Returns) with my dad...

My dad was really impressed by the "IMAX" quality daw of the LG + PS3 Bluray...

After watching BluRay... Ayaw na raw nya dun sa SD DVD nya....  ;D

Looks like my Meralco Bills Will be increasing soon... :)

LG Plasma Rocks!!!!

thanks again

sorry for cross posting this from another thread (LG 32PC5RV or Pana 32LX80):
Heheh nakabili na ko bro last friday sa TW,ok na ok ang bagong version nitong 32LG, 150HZ na  :D Maraming nadagdag na features accdng to sir jeff!Buy na po kayo ! ;D

Di lang clear kung bagong LG model ito ng 32-in plasma nila or new version ng 32PC5RV.  Does anybody here seen this "new version"?  I just read this kanina when I arrived home with my newly bought 32PC5RV. Di ko tuloy muna binuksan yun box at ginamit baka puwede pa ipa-exchange dito sa "new version" if malaki ang improvements.

OO nga... but if you just bought one... i suppose your unit may be part of the new "improved" batch of LG plasma TVs...

Kasi I saw Jeff post here na ubos na yung LG Plasma stocks nya...

Better check with Jeff.. Am sure your new unit is part of the new batch...

Jeff, info naman on the new improvements of the LG32PC5RV... My dad is bugging me about my unit... bigay ko na raw sa kanya as BDay advance gift (kahit 4month old na unit ko)  He'd be very glad to get it as a BD Gift :)  ...

Isip Isip .... Hmmmm LG32 Plasman ulit or PANA 42PV8  ;D

will it be necessary to invest a hdmi dvdplayer for this unit 32pc5rv?or just a good progressive scan dvdplayer will be good enough?or maybe say what system should i go for to get the best pq from my dvd movies?

yesterday i saw one 32pc5rv at my area, but it just connected with the composite video cable and a dvd source. truely i see the big different compare to other brands lcd tv,although the pq is not clean and detail enough. :D but i wonder will i get the big improvement in i connect it with component cable and even the hdmi cable?

because after i saw it, i went home an have a test with my current pana crt tv, i connect it with both the component and a composite video cable in different channel, then i compare them by switching the channel and i didn't forgot to turn on the progressive scan too ;Dbut i just cant find much different with both connection!!hard to tell the different, the component cable connection seems a little(very very little)detail but less vivid!!what happen?! ???makes me feel like i had been fool to bought the expansive tv with the progressive 100hz tv and come out with no much different when not using the progressive function!! >:(

i even saw some forum said than there are no different for the component cable connection and the hdmi connection!! ???what happen?where did i miss??!! ???

so is it simple cable connection = component connection = hdmi connection in reality??this cant be true right??somebody pls make clarification here...so confuse!! :'(

i think this models native reso is only 480p and component cables can carry signals upto 480p lang while hdmi can go to 1080p. so malamang there would be no diff with component and hdmi since madodownscale din naman sa native reso ng tv mo yan. di ko sure a.wait natin reply ng mga experts ng pdvd ;)

i'M USING A pio dv400 hdmi upscaling player... gives very goodPQ from SD discs --- even yung mga BluRAY copies that are sold by enterprising "DBD... DBD... sir may bago DBD" vendors.

Very happ with the PQ using mg LG32 unit...

But mas maganda pa rin BluRAY source... :)

Agree ako sa digibox.  Talagang big improvement in eliminating the "noise" from our analog cable tv.

although LG32 plasma is native 480p, you will still see the difference when you set it at 480p vs 1080i/720p .. :)
tried this while using PS3, pio dv400 and HTPC ..  :)
btw there are times where the builtin scaler performed better than the dvd upscaler (usually during bluray dibidi playback) ..
ive already posted an explanation before, how the resolution and details work with plasma .. backread nalang bro

if you dont have a good htpc (x2 processor, 2gb of ram, good video card) then i suggest that you get the pch 110 .. ;)
but if you have a good setup, then pioneer upscaler is the way to go ..  ;)
i suggest that you try your old dvd player (480p not 480i), the internal scaler of pv7 is good enough already..
im sure the pv8 has the same or a better scaler .. :D

parang ang labo ng post ko .. :D

for me better yung NMT than upconverting DVD player  ;) not to mention a lot more functionality also  ;)
