what is MUSE? on my Sony CRT HDTV
« on: Mar 13, 2008 at 08:41 AM »
Hi mga bro I have  jap SONY HDTV CRT MUSE KW-28HDF7

Now, besides the standard analog inputs and HD/DVD inputs.
There are 2 MUSE inputs(which look like component inputs). However, wala naman lumalabas na picture when I try to use it.
So I just wanna know what is MUSE and how can I take advantage of it?

thanks

Baka yung Multiple Sub-nyquist Sampling Encoding System?

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Multiple_sub-nyquist_sampling_Encoding

MUSE is an analog High Definition standard developed by NHK (Nippon Hōsō Kyōkai or Japan Broadcasting Corporation) in the 1980s, the oldest working HDTV system, with 1035i lines resolution.

Wala sigurong silbi yan sa atin :(

Hindi na magkakaroon ng analog HDTV dito, kasi digital HDTV na ang standard, iba-iba pa ang format.

On home video, ginamit ang MUSE sa HD Laserdisc, called MUSE Laserdisc, as early as 1991.  High Def, pero analog pa rin, with the 1035i resolution standard.

MUSE and MUSE Laserdisc are not compatible with Blu-ray or HD DVD video.
