I looked closely at Denon PMA-1500R before but I could not bring myself to pay almost 3 times higher price for its Japanese quality and for even less wattage of 70 W/C.

It's best if you can hear them side-by-side. The consequence of subscribing to the herd instinct can be quite costly with audio.

The Denon sound is quite different from the CA sound. Hearing both with your intended speakers might give you a better idea of what would suit you better. I do agree that 3x the price is too much, as international prices often put it at only about ~40% higher.

Do explore other reasonable options from Marantz, NAD, Rotel, Yamaha, Rega, Pioneer, Onkyo, Audiolab, Arcam, etc.

They have the 350 series on display (in Trinoma), but I'm not sure if they have the prices already. You can ask Benjie or Ronnie.

I find the headphone out of CA amps to be merely adequate (better than those in most avrs and much better than those in portables, but nothing to write home about). If you won't use speakers on them, why not consider a dedicated headphone amp?

Of course, it's best to hear it for yourself (hooked up to your preferred headphones).

I will use the my headphone through a speaker tap, got the orthodynamic ones which needs 2W per channel so I guess this might be the one I'm looking for.

I do have a dedicated hp amp but its quite underpowered at 500mW.

Sounds like a plan. Let us know what you think.

I suggest watching out for low level noise. Most amplifiers emit some noise that are so low to hear with typical speakers, but is strong enough to be audible with sensitive gear (headphones or high sensitivity speakers).

Sounds like you're enjoying your awesome gears na. I hope I can find time to listen one of 'em mezzos this weekend... According to Master Ivan, it's best to do an audition in 5th Ave Shangri La coz of the better room acoustics. And I agree. Pero maganda kila Ronnie bumili, kelangan ko din madagdagan points ko dun sa 5th Ave card.
