Pioneer PV400 + Avi Movies
« on: Apr 02, 2008 at 02:27 PM »
Hi,

    Good Day.
I would like to ask you guys how do you burn in DVD movies downloaded from the internet so it will be playable in PV400? I downloaded a couple of movies, and when I burn them in DVD, my player does not seems to recognize the format to play the file.
By the way I am using Windows Vista Movie Maker application. Can you recommend an alternative? Do I have to burn it as DVD Movie - VIDEO_TS/ AUDIO_TS?
Will it have any effect if in case the movie is HD or 1080p copy?

Would love to hear from you guys.
    Thank you.

since you have a PV400, utilise the USB slot for playing divx files(.avi). transfer all your divx file to  a hard drive (in fat32 format) and connect it to the usb slot and viola, you can now watch them without hassle.try it first on a usb mem stick.

Thank you for the prompt reply. It was mentioned on the other topics that to play avi using USB you need to split the file. How do I do that? what application should I use?
Thanks guys!
