MIGGY!!!!!!!   :o
you're here!!!!!  :D

if you want a cheap, quick and decent home theater calibration.
just use any THX approved DVD (Star Wars, Indiana Jones, Die Hard)
Each of these THX approved DVD's come with a THX optimizer that helps you adjust your Video & Audio settings.

it's not professional but it gets the job done, just txt me, I'll go to your place and I'll bring few a of my DVD's ;D

Has anyone tried comparing the video calibration from Star Wars DVDs to a real home theatre calibration?  I've compared it to my Soundvision Home Theatre Tuneup, they both have different opinions on how bright my videos should look.

The best audio-DVD for calibration from what I saw is Denon Sonic Boom. Here you can see the description: http://www.elusivedisc.com/prodinfo.asp?number=WEADA17156, not sure if available locally but you can always download it via p2p networks.

You still need the plastic film thing to check the color.  Without it you're just checking for the brightness, contrast, position, and sharpness.
