I've read a lot forums and the problem is common.  I couldn't find any concrete solution to this.  Seems like the problem is only for 3D BD ISO but no problem in 3D BDs.  Causes stem from the ripping of the BDs to ISO.

I'll go back again to the settings.  Maybe I missed on something.

Is it playing smoothly in 2D?

If you have doubts that your rips are not being recognized by UVD, unticking "enable hardware acceleration" under PowerDVD may work. That should run everything in Software.

That's also an option. Because of the lack of UVD 3, a system using HD 5000 series graphics requires far more CPU power to run 3D (and you're limited to full-screen use).

Here's a 6-core CPU being taxed to about half capacity:

what a big difference and more cpu utilization means greater power consumption

The i3-3220 might be worth the 500 peso extra. The HD 2500 IGP handles video better than the HD 2000 IGP, and offers a 10W lower TDP.

Nice, mag HTPC ka na rin pala sir ah....

for me mas maganda ang PQ ng HTPC compared sa NMT...

gamit ko lang yung luma kong pc, I converted it to HTPC.. Kahit C2d lang smooth ang splash pro with eye candy  almost maxed out:

intel c2d e8400 3.06ghz
asrock 1366 d667
4GB ram
nvidia gt630 1gb
FSP 550w PSU

luma na etong setup ko... di ako aware sa mga bago...

but I think okay yung mga build suggestions nila...

That really depends on your priorities, the hardware that you have, and the software that you'd be running.

If you're building new, most current IGPs can handle 1080p video just fine (as long as the codec cooperates). 2D is particularly easy, even for entry level desktops or notebooks. 3D works better with a midlevel IGP (or higher) in most cases.

Dedicated graphics can help if you want to do a lot of post-processing (or want to use a more demanding algorithm with the help of tools like MadVR). An older computer with a weaker graphics capability will also benefit from an upgrade to modern dedicated graphics.

Higher model integrated graphics is more or less at par with entry level dedicated graphics at this point. It's really your decision as to what you'd choose.

Though this is not representative of video playback, this tells us how much integrated graphics had moved forward (especially for the AMD camp):

Here the A10's IGP performs as well as a dedicated GT 640 or a dedicated HD 6670, and is well ahead of the GT 630, GT 620 and HD 6450.

For the average HTPC user, here's a rough guideline for builds:

Intel Integrated Graphics
HD Graphics - Good for basic 2D with minimal driver-based post-processing
HD 2000 / HD 2500 - Great for 2D / 3D with minimal driver-based post-processing
HD 3000 / HD 4000 - Excellent for 2D / 3D with some post-processing

AMD Graphics (Integrated and Dedicated)
HD 64xx / HD 74xx - Good for 2D / 3D with minimal post-processing
HD 65xx / HD 75xx - Excellent for 2D / 3D with some post-processing
HD 66xx / HD 76xx - Excellent for 2D / 3D with extensive driver-based post-processing
HD 67xx / HD 77xx - Excellent for 2D / 3D with full driver-based post-processing
HD 68xx / HD 78xx - Great for 2D / 3D with third party post-processing using high quality algorithms
HD 69xx / HD 79xx - Excellent for 2D / 3D with third party post-processing using demanding algorithms

The HD 7660D is the most powerful integrated adapter in the consumer market at this point. It should be enough for most HTPC applications. Those that need more power would have to go with dedicated solutions for now. That being said, the HD 7750 and the HD 7770 are priced very attractively.

Sorry, I don't use Splash Pro. I don't think they're the same. Motion 2 Ultra is supposedly a higher quality mode that's recommended for use with more powerful CPUs (originally intended for quad-core models).

so i decided to use my old desktop pc as htpc.sobrang entry level nga lang due to tight budget.

proc:pentium duo core 1.8gh
mobo:asrock g31mv-s2
video card:invidia ge force 210 manli
ram:2 gb
psu:gigabyte 570
storage:1 tb for program files and media files
display:lg 32" 720p
using windows 7 ultimate

i have some questions though:
1.can i use latest programs like xbmc eden, splashplro ex or power dvd 12 with my set up without problems (like stuttering, hanging, etc?) or should i like for older versions?
2.how many hours is the ideal time to leave it on (coz one reason i decided to switch from nmt is im also going to use my set up to dl movies)
3.ilang int hdd po yung puede ko idagdag sa set up ko?
4.mag iimprove po ba yung performance ng pc if i update yung mobo and vc drivers?or should i stick na lang dun sa original driver?
5.what future upgrade should i consider if ever na magka budget ako?thanks in advance my sirs
