for HTPC which would you choose?
Lenovo S405 5935-9092/Grey 5935-9093/Red AMD A8-4555M/2GB/500GB/14-inch/Win 8

Acer V5-552-85554G1Taii (Iron) 15.6-inch AMD A8-5557M/4GB/1TB/AMD Radeon 8550G/Windows 8

Toshiba Satellite C40D-A108 (Black) 14-inch AMD Quad Core A4-5000/4GB/500GB/Radeon HD 8330/Windows 8

I am not a fan of laptops being used as HTPCs but I will go for the ACER.

Same here, Acer for me. It comes with better hardware (better APU, larger screen, touch screen, full keyboard, larger ram, larger hdd, etc.) than the other two.

The Lenovo is low in RAM, is older and lacks touch. The Toshiba isn't in the same class as it's running a much slower APU.

@ninjababez

the Acer V5 also gets my vote.
hi guys what if i have a 2 extra 4gb ram sticks so ram size is not an issue.
forgot to mention that the lid will be closed 99.9% of the time so the screen size of acer will not be a factor.

Processing and Graphics-wise about half the speed... we're talking Kabini (Toshiba) vs. Richland (Acer). Aside from having much slower processor cores (Netbook class) and having half the parallelism in its graphics engine, the Kabini is also crippled by its single-channel memory interface.

The Mobile Richland is closer to a Mobile i5 in performance, while the Mobile Kabini is closer to a Mobile Celeron/Pentium.

Bro pila ka nalang dito. If you can find a laptop with discrete graphics (not shared) that would be the best.  I'm still a believer of having a dedicated VC for HTPC use.

kainis bakit walang ASUS counterpart itong mga ito :(

Acer Aspire E1-572G-34014G75Mnkk 15.6-inch 4th Gen Core i3-4010U/2GB Radeon HD 8750M/Win 8 Gaming Laptop

Acer V5-552-85554G1Taii (Iron) 15.6-inch AMD A8-5557M/4GB/1TB/AMD Radeon 8550G/Windows 8

looking at the benchmarks and CPU world comparison mukhang mas OK yung amd :D

Because asus gaming laptop is asus rog.

Malaki po ba ang performance difference ng 7750 and 7770?

Not so much. Yung 7790 or R7 260X ang big step up from these two if you want a better performing solution. The 260x also offers TrueAudio if that matters to you.

Thanks. I was thinking, A 3yo AMD Athlon x2 can no longer accommodate the newer pc games di ba? Probably Useless din if I add a 7770 vc. I used a 4770 before, sold it since it can no longer handle COD Black Ops at that time.

1080p content was flawless with the 4770, now may sabit using the on board video.

are you using an AM3 or AM3+ motherboard? if you are, then you can upgrade to a multi-core AMD FX cpu. :)

btw, are you referring to the Intel i7-4770 or the Radeon HD 4770?
