hi i'm about to buy an lcd tv and was wondering what is a better buy... toshiba 46x3500 or samsung LA46A550?

If i'm not mistaken, Samsung is more expensive compared to the Toshiba. If u do have the budget and ur choices boils down to the two, then my suggestion is you get the Samsung over the Toshiba. Have u seen the Panasonic 50pv70? I feel that if you want a flat panel over 40" the plasma is a better choice over an lcd. Try visit Sights and Sounds or Theater Works and check it out urself the 50PV70 is of excellent performance and yet at a reasonable price below 90k w/ free hdmi cable pa.

That's right. Plasma delivers rich and natural color, deeper black contrast than LCD, and fast motion response to deliver movie without any blurring.

However, if Samsung is the preferred brand name, the buyer can consider the new Samsung 50" plasma TV PS50A450. This Samsung plasma TV has 3D-ready feature. It also has highest contrast level: 1 million:1 ratio.

With the superior feature. This plasma is a better trade off than to get a full HD LCD TV. Afterall, you won't see significant picture difference between Full HD and HD Ready at a far watching distance.

Actually, power consumption for a Plasma TV changes based on the image on-screen (higher for bright scenes and lower for dark scenes). LCD televisions use an almost constant amount of power because the backlights are always on, regardless of the video image. Independent studies have found that long-term power consumption is approximately the same (per square inch) for both types of TV (LCD & Plasma).

hi in terms of price, the samsung is cheaper... i can get samsung for 90k and the toshiba for 104k...

may i know where sights and sounds and theatre works are? i will consider checking on plasmas... but wouldn't it be a lot more expensive??? anyway, will check on it... which brands of plasma tv's should i be looking for? i want a big screen tv, 46" above with a budget. thanks

THe panasonic plasma 50pv70 is the best i've seen so far at a ver reasonable price also check k muna sa sights & sounds or theaterworks they both have display of that unit.
