Hi everyone, Magnavision is releasing the INDIANA JONES STEEL CASE (which has all 3 Indie titles). They're giving away a free fedora hat upon purchase.

Wow, Magna's really targeting collectors this year. Looks great, would love to double dip but PQ of R1's re-release are the same as the previous set, so I would assume it's the same case for us. I'll pass.

But aren't the special features for the R1 re-release different from the previous release? From what I gathered, it's the films that are exactly the same.

I meant the transfers. The R1 re-release has different extras but from this review the previous sets extras are superior.

WTH!!!!!!!

I wasn't going to double dip the re-release simply because I was aware that the PQ and AQ were pretty much the same. While the original 4-disc box-set has more bonus features than the re-release.

However, Magna is pretty sneaky. This Steelbook thingy is making me itchy. $:-\$

whoa! Steelbook ba o Steelcase? If Steelbook, I will have BIG trouble stopping myself from buying this even though I have the 4-discs DVD and an even older VCD of the same films...

Thought that I will double dip when the quadrilogy comes out on DVD, but this packaging is really hard-to-resist.... Arrrrrrrrrgh. (That's my wallet groaning).

One more thing, is it the new SE (R1) transfer or the same old DVDs in new clothes, I suspect it's the latter...

1200 is reasonable na. iyun nga lang for most pinoydvd forumers, this is a double dip, so the case and hat will have to look great to justify another 1200 investment (luho).

Yes, the case in the picture is identical to the one I saw in Hong Kong, which sells for (the equivalent of) Php 1800 - without the hat!

Still, a hat isn't enough to get me to double and eventually triple dip. Not when my space issues have reached critical levels.

the bonus features are on the discs themselves. an intro by l & s introduces each films. the bonus are minimal, in the sense na maiiksi lang unlike that of the 2003 release. still, that steelbbok is one hell of a temptation.

good luck on that. the odds on that is near impossible. your best bet, find someone who only wants the discs and split na lang the price. but, that is also nigh impossible!

I just got the 50% off 4-disc set last night, I couldn't wait anymore for this steal book/case, I was actually suppose to watch "The Kingdom of the Crystal Skull" but arrived late the 9pm time slot, the next showing time was already too late, so I hurried down the video store and got myself the 4-disc set.
