Finally, I was able to watch the first episode of United States of Tara. Toni Colette is awesome. The series is a doozy. Hope it gets enough legs to stay on for more than one season.

Hindi ba nakakairita yung dialogue ni Diablo Cody dito, pre? Interesting yung premise, plus Speilberg, pero turn off ako sa pagka-look-ma-I'm-hip ng style ni Diablo, kaya hindi ko na-enjoy yung Juno.

Hindi naman masyadong nakakairita since wala yung usual vehicle nya for the hipper-than-hip dialogue, which are the teens (well, except when T shows up). Since the focus is really on Tara toned down naman kahit papano yung dialogue. And you won't care about the dialogue when you see Toni Colette pre. She rocks the character/s so much. It's a master class in acting. Kier Gilchrist is also worth the look. Excellent actors talaga.

Just saw the second episode pre. I take back what I said. Madaming hipper than hip dialogue sa second episode, hehe. Yung first episode lang pala yung underplayed ang pagiging Diablo Cody-ish.

Life on Mars UK Seasons 1 and 2
-finally finished it.. thought the pacing was right but felt the last episode was crammed up a bit.. felt quite satisfied with the ending despite the many interpretations it could have.. could be a cop-out to some.. wonder how the US version deals with it, if ever it gets to that point.. so far, it's been just the UK version with Americans in it.. almost scene-for-scene.. Gretchen Mol's lovely in it, though..

Smallville episode 11 . . . nothing special but fun to watch nonetheless. Geoff Johns wrote it. Still wished the Legion of Superheroes kept their retro-futurist costumes . . .and Bouncing Boy had been included. Oh well. Johns is a terrific writer, he's the next Kurt Busiek I think. Good move to hire a comicbook writer who actually writes good comics not has-beens like Jeph Loeb.

Mismo... Weird thing is, some blogs have pointed out that the latest episode that ABC aired apparently is number eleven. They jumped ahead for some unknown reason. I haven't seen it though. Been a fan of Miss Mol since Rounders and have bunch of her movies. She just has IT.

The BBC original is one of my favorites right next to SPACED. Hehe...The many possible interpretations of the series finale you mentioned makes it a solid ending in my opinion. In the meantime, I'm eagerly awaiting series 2 of Ashes to Ashes.

I've seen series 1 of Ashes to Ashes as well.. it's not really bad but I feel like it's not as good as Life on Mars.. the last episode was a surprise though.. with that storyline with her parents over, I hope series 2 gets better.. her scenes with her mom just annoyed me..

as for the US version, I'll continue watching mainly for Gretchen Mol.. I hope they stop the scene-for-scene remake soon.. that small twist at the end of the latest episode was quite fun, though..

Watching the first episode of The CollegeHumor Show. There's some funny s h it here. I especially loved their spoof of a university commercial - "If we were a good university, we wouldn't have a commercial!" Sounds soooo familiar.
