Well, there's this Japanese horror anthology that I stumbled on to. I think it's called Scary True Stories. Anthologies are really hard to come by.

Dead Set which is essentially Big Brother meets Night of the Living Dead. More proof that Brit TV is way smarter and funner than (most)American TV.

Also . . .parts of The Wire Season 5. yeah yeah I've gone on about this series over and over and this is just a breeze-through of a final season i've seen twice in its entirety but there's a reason nearly everyone on the planet who's seen it, including Alan Moore and Warren Ellis, call it "the best TV show ever". . . because it is.

Finally saw the first episode of Parents of The Band. Another hilarious UK comedy, droll and witty as UK coms go. Jimmy Nail is totally spot on as the stage dad. Music fans will have fun keeping up with the music-related quips.

Dexter has a bit of blood. Other than that I guess Rome would have the most blood and gore. There doesn't seem to be a lot of it on TV (or I just haven't happened upon them). Nudity at sex marami.

What series can you recommend? Parang naubusan na ako ng mapapanood.

After the bad reviews that Prison Break got with their latest season parang ayoko na sya i-dl. Natapos ko na rin kasi Heroes S3 last week kaya wala na ako papanoorin.

I want to dl Chuck pero gusto ko umpisahan sa S1 kaso wala na ako mahanap.

The Mighty Boosh and Snuffbox, two Brit comedies upon the recommended of this obscure writer fella named Alan Moore. I think he wrote a little known cult classic called Watchmen. I listen to him because he called The Wire the best TV show of the last twenty years. And it was. The rest of the world, of course, will come to an end and everybody will still be watching dreadful Chuck re-runs instead of its five superlative seasons.

Also taking a cursory peek at Bela Tarr's Werckmeister Harmonies and Satantango . . .but will immerse myself more properly when I have the space cleared up. Looks good, though.

Just read this.

Demons is like a british Buffy The Vampire Slayer only with an actual literary allusion. It's not as good as say Apparitions or Survivors because this has a more "American" feel to it (mainly because the premise is well, a bit on the commercial side). Having said that, it still has that british quirkiness that I like. And at just six episodes, it won't hurt to watch it.

i stumbled upon that episode, its directed by takashi miike but i still haven't watched it yet, it's banned from cable broadcast daw

Unfortunately, I have yet to find the time to watch all of these because of a sudden influx of work. But I still found the time to watch my new guilty pleasure:
