got my panny late this afternoon. Medyo matagal pero Sir Vic made sure di kami ma bore. i think th WD media player coupled with a 320gb HD is the most economical way to enjoy hd.

When you auto-channel use Direct instead of Position to get the channels right.

Hope this helps.

bro,

are these settings based on your own calibration or taken from the net? i have tried this setting but i find it a bit dark with brightness set at 39...details were lost specially on dark scenes.

i've watched a full movie using the first settings...colors and skin tones were very natural...the whites really bothered me as they were not pure white. overall, its a good tv setting. maybe a little more of movie viewing with these settings so i can observe further.

these settings are only good on a dark room / night viewing right? i've tried it on daytime..picture was not good. im switching it to standard settings at during the day, then i switch it back to cinema when at night..

ill try ninjababez' setting as well..

more inputs will be appreciated :)

thanks guys!

hmm .. it could be that your room is well lighted ..
jack up the contrast and brightness since "cinema" mode is a little dim :)

sir,

i watched the film on a pitch black room. night time, when i turned down the brightness at 39...

im good with the contrast set at 58 and brightness at 49. however, can we do something about the whites not being pure white at warm settings? or that's really how its supposed to be?

thanks :)

Only way to do that is to set your pic to Standard. Btw, may I know the source? Is it a DVD player? A Blu-ray? When I set my brightness to 39 on my DVD player (Pioneer 410V) and the PS3 (Games and Blu-Ray) I found it too dark. However, when I adjusted my source from FULL RGB to LIMITED RGB it gave a better picture balance.

here are my settings if theyd be of any help

pic mode - cinema
Contrast 85
Brightness 48
Color 55
Tint 0 - or 50 just the mid level
Sharpness 65
Temp cool
Color management = on
PNR off

i got the settings after using the thx optimizer thing found on some dvd's

works great so far, the blacks are black and the colors are ok too - but then again this might just work for me, try it out and see if it helps =)
