The Three Stooges

So this is the Volume One that was released in R1 areas?

Too pricey at 999, given that it doesn't seem to be 'Imported Discs.'

Eventhough I think it was already discount at the last Podium Sale... To those that went there, how much was it discounted to?

Thanks.

At 2-discs, the eventual discounted price must be 300...  But will probably buy it 600 when spotted at sale, patience is not among my virtues. :)

Anyone kind enough to post the titles of the short included in the R3 version?

The shorts included doesn't seem to correspond to any existing R1s.  The current R1 release is (at the moment) divided chronologically into 3 - Volume 1 (1934-1936) 19 shorts; Volume 2 (1937-1939) 24 shorts, Volume 3 (I will add content later).  R3 is 23 shorts yata...

So is the R3 a best-of version of all three, or what?

Thanks in advance...

Okay did some undercover research (no, I didn't buy it).  The local release is identical to the R1 Volume One, which features materials from 1934 to 1936.  Then for some reason, Magnavision decided to add four extras:

I'll Never Heil Again (1941)
Beer Barrel Polecats (1946)
Brideless Groom (1947) - this one in Public Domain (copyright expired)
Dopey Dicks (1950)

So while you get more than R1, if they decide to release additional volumes, then those four seems out of place chronologically, as the DVD case says.  Think of it as bonus, maybe...

999 for two locally minted disc on a slipcase.

I'll probably wait for it to go on sale, the higher it is, the more it has to fall...  My guess, is a year from now, this will be on sale for 1/3 of what it is now...
