last month they had a sale in tiendesitas also. so there's a big chance that there will also be another one next month. just keep your eyes peeled in pinoydvd and in newspapers.
i arrived at 8 am (sale starts at 9) and i was already #200. for those really serious in buying tvs and stuff, be there really early. they say that the one who got #1 was there 4 am. by 915, all of the 26 and 32" lcdtvs were GONE. 26" class B were being sold for 15k, class C 12k. 32inch tvs were from 22k to 33k.
Class B are display models, Class C are customer returned units that were completely refurbished but lacking in parts. B has 6 months warranty, C have 3 months.
for my case I wanted to buy a 22" samsung hahah and I heard that there might be an 18k 32" philips. so i went. ended up with a 37" philips FULL HD 1080P class C TV for 35k. The box only contained the TV, manual, stand and power cable. There was NO REMOTE CONTROL, but you can buy a new one for 250 (limited stocks, so it really does pay to come early).
Make sure to test everything. I'm really happy with my purchase but there was a minor speed bump. The unit I got (37PFL7422) needed some screws to mount it to its stand, and the one i got didn't come with screws. so i couldn't use it at the moment. i called up philips and they will be coming to my house monday morning to fix it (if they have the screws) or they'll just wall mount it.
Also for those brave enough to try Class C models. The box has a printed paper with all the stuff thats supposedly inside the box. so you know what you're getting. you'll also be able to see the reason why the tv has been returned in the first place. most of the issues were panel problem or power problem. i chose power problem since it seemed like its less bad.
Hopefully the tv i got won't break down. hopefully, but i'm really happy with my purchase. I wanted a 32" 1080i, ended up with 37" 1080p.
Btw, thanks to
XXXyzledge. i saw his post in pinoydvd thats why i went to the philips sale.
