2 weeks ago, I bought a Pana 42PV80 from TW (thanks Jeff!) and the htib that came with it to get started with a simple bedroom setup. Coincidentally, I was also in the process of having my very small room renovated (9.5ft width and 12 ft length). I was originally set on making it very minimalistic and zen-like (all white). But.. I came across the HT galleries here and contemplated on designing it much like how HTs here are designed (with walls covered in fabric, recessed celing, cove lighting, etc.)

It sounds crazy for a bedroom, but I said what the heck and decided to get on with it. Anyway, due to the limitations in terms of size, I had to maximize every little space I had. I can't install the rockwools for the acoustical treatment because my bed wont fit! So, in this aspect, I decided on form over function.

For the hardware, I have a very budgeted setup. A Pana 42PV80, the SC-PT465 htib (I love how I can dock my iPhone on this thing. It's so convenient!), and a 1TB egreat. I figure that I'll just upgrade my sound setup in the future. Gota keep the costs down

[latest update]
Upgraded my speakers to Anthony's Floorstanders and Center channel.

[completion update]
After 3 long weeks, the project is now complete. I'm pretty satisfied with the output. Simple setup lang pero pwede na ren

Everything is wall mounted, the speakers, tv cabinets etc. The av rack is hidden below the aircon. Nakakapagod! Pero sarap ng feeling.

[4th update]
Ok really almost done. Blinds na lang.

AND MAJOR SHOUTOUT TO my carpinters. They really did an awesome job!

[3rd update]
We are almost done covering the walls with breatheable fabric

I had the original flooring changed to white pine wood.

Installed the tv, tested the htibs and everything seems to be working pa naman

That's it for now.. hopefully we get to finish everything today.

[2nd update]
Here are some minor updates for the room

We've finally finished all the framing using 1x2 wood and cut-out all the walls that will be covered by breathable fabric.

I also replaced my window-type aircon to split-type. I asked the guys who installed my aircon to make the hole from the old-window type bigger so I can use that as my hidden cabinet which would serve as my av rack.

Had my carpinter install a hanging cabinet where my dvds and other stuff will be kept. This will also have a cover.

Next updates:
Maple laminated floors & Roman Shades that will match the interior of the room.

[1st update]
Ok so here's what my small room looks like

We took out all the stuff inside and got started by demolishing the cabinet

then we began to frame the recessed ceiling

started framing the new sliding cabinet

covered the frame of the recessed ceiling

Installed rope lights for cove lighting effect

with the lights off

That's all for now. Still a work in progress. Thanks for looking

@salamat mga sirs! busog na busog nga yung maliit ko na room para sa floorstanders at center. Ok talaga mag invest sa kwarto kasi lagi naman ako nasa loob! Ginawa ko na ring wireless lahat pati yung sa speakers, gamit ko yung airport express para wifi streaming ako ng lossless files papunta sa DIY floorstanders.

@jazzy jake - sige sir. PM mo lang ako kung gusto mo sila ma contact. Kaso yung isa tumiwalag na hehe. Nag iba na ng linya. Pero yung main carpenter available pa ren.

Boss yung source ko is lossless music from my itunes. From itunes naka stream yung music ko papuntang floorstanders using apple airport express. Bale parang itunes > airport express > aux in of onkyo 606 > floorstanders

Yung typical cables nakakabit pa ren sa floorstander shempre hehe.

I did almost the same thing...ipod wireless connected to my preamp. So puede ng bitbit ang ipod sa couch.

@juancho - thanks sir, it is quite cozy indeed. Nothing beats a day's worth of hard labor by just chillaxin in your own room with options to either watch an HD movie or listen to music.

on topic: with your images posted here i've learned some infos on how to execute very well carpentry work.. will try to follow these when i endeavour on renovating my bedroom in the near future or when mr. Wallet allows
