mga sirs hindi ba pwedeng makapamili ng resolution settings sa wd tv pag nakakabit lang sya sa tv na hindi HD? talaga lang bang nasa automatic lang sya? kse before na aalala ko nakapasok ako dito sa settings na toh and nakakapag scroll kung automatic, 480p..etc..but now hindi na..

bakit po ganun?

brader keeema, 'di kaya naglock lang sya at kilangan mo e-reset yung unit...

gaya kagabi i could scroll the selection but when I pressed the play or the middle button of the selection... it just displayed the loading icon, I waited for several minutes but nothing happened. I turned on & off the unit but same thing happened so I went to the setting menu & reset the unit to factury default. now, OK na sya ngayun...

Congratz!

check the system version against the latest version at the WDC.com site. if you got the old one DL and do the update as/site instructions...

hmmm..baka nga reset lang kailangan..napansin ko lang din na nagagawa ko un nung hindi pa ako nag uupdate sa unang firmware..hmmm masubukan ko na ngang e-reset muna..

very keen sa pagkuha nito next month, 3 kame ng mga officemates ko.

any watchouts? kay HD_movies ako kukuha, best price nya daw is 12k inclusive of 1 tera WD mybook non-firewire HDD with freebies of course. ok na ba sya?

Also, pv70 and pv80 ang paggagamitan namen, is it better to choose the 720p files from his list or get 1080p? i know idda-downscale din naman to 720p ni TV pero mas OK ba kung true 720p kesa downscaled 1080p na anging 720p?

mga sirs..papano nyo nirereset ung WD tv? kse i tried both pero parang walang pagbabago sa firmware..diba dapat babalik sya sa default FW nya? ano nga ba un?

The reason im doing a reset on my WD tv kse, before when im going to the resolution settings nakakapasok ako dun sa settings na un meaning nakakapamili ako kung auto, 480p etc...but now hindi na..naka automatic na lang sya. Diba dapat makakapasok pa din ako kahit ung TV ko eh hindi naman HD ready or Full HD??

lastly, baka mali ang execute ko pag rereset ako..

ano ba ang tamang way?

guys, anybody of you experienced the green thing while watching?

i experienced this in two of the movies: patriot games and the hunt for red october both 720p.

the solution is to stop and play again and nawawala cya. kakainis lang kc ma timing nung exciting na ung movie.

my firmware is updated naman.

i will try to take a pic later.

Same here...Ganun din experienced ko. Di ko lang matandaan yung mga title ng movie na napanood ko na (sa ibang source).
Sa tingin ko the FILES itself. Kasi OK NAMAN yung mga download ko eh!
OK na rin sa akin yung STOP then PLAY again....Importante di naman talaga sira yung files...Medyo sinisinok lang din yung mga DTS audio.
Baka minsan mainit na rin yung WDTV natin...Marathon ba naman nung Holy Week eh!

As for me no playback problem so far tried on 720p and 1080p.

Tried every single firmware now using the beta 1.02.04. Thumbnails are great.

sino naka try playing mkv file with VC-1 codec?

Not that I know of. If you mean firmware, it's easy enough to upgrade. Use at least 1.01. You can also try 1.02 beta.

Pag HDMI connection sir nakakapili. pag composite hindi available yun.

This device may have some issue with Panasonic LCD or Plasma TV.
Other than Panasonic TV, do you have other TV?
I do believe that if you connect the HDMI cable to other TV device it will work.

Thats odd - sa Panny pv70 naka kabit ang WD ko and so far wala pa naman problems encountered. So may problema daw ang mga WD players connected to Panny tvs?
