Good thing I am getting the Batmask edition. I would rather get the Target Exclusive Movie Masters Batpod which is bigger and cheaper than the Batpod that comes with the deluxe edition and is also in scale with my 6inch Dark Knight Action figure

The digital copy as far as i know is not psp compatible. Correct me if i'm wrong.

Same here. I reserved 2 for me and my girlfriend and I'll see about cancelling it but only when I see the model first. Definitely NOT getting the Batmask edition as an alternative because that thing looks outright goofy.

I hope there's a steelcase edition as an alternative. If not, regular 2-disc na lang. Still hoping they would include a digital copy. I didn't think I'd see the day Warner would be this close to disappointing me.

Would definitely look great together with my mask editions Optimus,Bumblebee,V for Vendetta and Iron Man... and besides hangang dun lang budget ko.

But if they will release a Joker cover (just like the release of EZDVD), thats definitely it for me.

actually, inside the slipcase of the R1, the cover on the amaray is the Joker.. same as the one on ezydvd..

Nakaka-play ba ng .wmv files ang PSP? Pansin ko kasi all of the digital copy files I've seen are in .wmv format and there's also a disclaimer that it's not compatible with certain portable media players, especially the Sony PSP.

PSPs play video files in the mp4 format yata (correct me if I am wrong

Nyay! I had my doubts early on about this that's why I didn't bother reserving this variant of the DVD and adding Warner's decline in terms of picture quality, kontento na ko sa 2 Disc SE. Dun na aklo mag cecelebrate sa Blu. hehehe!

I just hope lang it comes along with the keep case like R1 with different art. pakunswelo kumbaga sa price increase nila

The Batpod may not be die-cast metal but hopefully it's molded from high quality-rubberized plastic materials. The sturdy stuff they use for DLSR bodies and personal electronics nowadays.

Now for another piece of bad news: Customs held the Batpod and Batmask shipments despite several appeals from Warner and its broker. They were supposed to start deliveries to the retailers this afternoon but it looks like the earliest that they'll be able to bring 'em out is late Monday or early Tuesday. So while the 2-disc widescreen release will be available on December 8th, the other 2 variants may take until Wednesday to reach retail shelves.

I'll post again when Warner sends me an update.

That's comforting to hear. At the very least I am hoping the plastic they use is high grade molded.

Despite it being plastic, I still has high hopes for this one. And with only 400+ pcs allocated locally, it will still sell out before long... surely, there are more than 400 collectors in the Philippines...

Too bad, customs keep tying these things up. What happened to express lanes for People who pays proper duties for their goods? Do they have to treat every importer as if they are smugglers? Once proper duties have been paid, they should expedite the release of imported good... after all if they make it hard for importers, who would have second thoughts about bringing in goods, their revenues would suffer...

Firewired, you mentioned the other two variants, that';s the 2-disc and single disc? Or will there be a steelbook?

That's the problem with Warner, they're paying proper duties when customs official want/prefer the improper one to fill their pockets. After all, xmas is just a few days.

I found these actual pics of the dark knight batpod edition at ebay. This is for the blu-ray, though in all likelihood, the local dvd release would be pretty much the same.

sana first thing in th morning sa astro moa meron nang 2 disc edition para mapanood ko na sabahay paguwi ko agad at wala nang palusot sila na 'ang tagal ng delivery eh' or 'wala pa yung nagdedeliver eh'. hello 8am kaya time in nila, kahit umalis sila ng 9am sa QC makakarating pa rin sila sa moa astro exactly or earlier than 1000am noh!
