50" Recommendation

720P is fine as long as there is a PIP feature.  I checked the Panasonic PH website and these are the only ones with PIP.

VIERA TH-50PV700H and VIERA TH-50PY850H.

Which one is the best buy between the two?   Any other options on a different brand?

the 700H is last years model and the 850 just came out with all the bells and whistles and a great PQ (so the reviews say).  I have not seen it.

Without a doubt, Panasonic 50py850 is better than 50py700.  The newest line of 50" are 50pv80, 50py800 and 50py850.  50py850 is the best but is quite pricey.  I have 50pv80 and am very happy with it.
