I checked the box from the demo unit of the agent here in Pampanga..I noticed that their cable box has spdif/optical output..does this mean that they will be broadcasting multichannel audio?

how about when they increased their HD lineup again?will they increase the monthly fee again? me future plans ba sila for other HD channels?

I emailed these questions to them and I hope they will respond

I am sure they will add other HD channels but you have to pay additional premium for it.

Is it true na sa mga SD channel eh pinakamahina recepion ang 2?

kasi dun sa demo unit erratic channel tapos nawawala..sabi kasi yan daw pinakamahina reception..kapamilya pa man din mga nanonood sa amin..hehe

yep, that's true, kapamilya channel is somehow malabo compared to other channels,....and those HD channels added were confirmed that its almost like bluray-like PQ and it outputs to 5.1 thru HDMI....but these were from Cignal HD subscribers,,,,

yung nasa bahay kase namin is still Cignal SD subscription...Im still thinking if it's worth to upgrade my subscription from P390 to P1200 per month for additional HD channels...

parang mas mura lalabas sa cignal compared sa skycable hd. 500 for 3 hd channels (skycable hd) compared to 810 for 7 hd channels (cignal hd)

Bro kolokoy, free pa nila binibigay new HD channels sa mga HD subscribers, parang playhouse disney dati. Pwede ka mag subscribe ng HD pero kunin mo lng yung 790 per month. sa akin, pag hindi true HD ang ESPN, hindi ko kukunin.
As for Ch 2, sumpungin ito eh, minsan malabo, minsan malinaw. Buti na lang kapuso kami, linaw ng 7 parang CNN na ang quality

Bro grimlock, so you mean 790 pa rin ang monthly mo and yung added HD channels ay nadagdagan na, right? Magkano kaya ibayad ko para mapalitan yung SD stb ko to HD box (humax)??

@kolokoy, correct, 790 pa din bayad ko this month, kahit napapanood ko na mga new HD channels, wala pa broadcast ESPN, F/X HD & star movies HD. tinanong ko din Cignal Support, sabi wala munang singil :-)

@disturbed- May optical audio out yung HD set top box, pero nung nag try ako using my Denon AVR, Dolby Pro logic yung lumabas, hindi Dolby Digital 5.1 :-(, so TV speakers na lang muna ako

Customer service informed me that full broadcasting of all hd channel will be on oct. 9 so watch out everybody.

I also inquired if i can subscribe for hd channel only. They don't know yet if there will ever be such a plan.

Bro kolokoy, nung nag upgrade ako from SD to HD, nagdagdagdag ako ng P 2,100, tapos dahil nag HD agad ako at di ko pa na consume free 1 month ko na SD, binawas nila yun sa isang month HD subs ko so may isang payment ako na P 400 pesos lang.

For the AV input, pwede mo pa rin magamit cable kasi yung STB ng Cignal ay gumagamit ng composite (SD box) or HDMI (HD box) para makabit sa TV, so lalabas mag switch ka lang ng AV input e.g. use AV1 to view cable tv, use AV2 to watch Cignal. AS for the demo, wala akong alam dito dahil subscriber lang ako, you may call Cignal at 8956353 or 8901165 for demo.

btw, FX-HD was replaced by National Geographic HD, so today, magkakaroon na lahat ng broadcast. Will post comment esp. the quality of NatGeo HD

I received a text from the Cignal person here in bulacan na 1,500pesos na lang Cignal Kit nila, though di ni confirm if this is for the complete set na box and satelite dish.

Question lang, Does anyone here use Cignal on multiple HDTVs? Diba one Set Top Box per HDTV? panu kung kunwari 2 HDTV edi dalawang set top box din diba? what about the monthly plan double din ba? kasi diba kung nasa same house lang naman iisang satellite dish lang ang gamit kasi it can support multiple cables naman....

any enlightenement sa mga naka multiple hdtv dito?

@ jupacabra- 1 STB per TV, so pag 2 TV sa bhay, 2 boxes, pero alam ko discounted na yung 2nd box. Call Cignal for more details.

I checked the website and there was a ** on the HD channels , it seems that 4 HD channels are just upconverted to 1080i ....

Alin kaya ang upconverted lang at alin ang tunay na HD

@jupacabra- as far as programmimg/quality of broadcast, pareho lang postpaid and prepaid, nagkaiba lang sa mode of payment.

3. Playhouse Disney- I am not sure here, minsan True HD, minsan upconverted
4. Star Sports- Upconverted

7. National Geographic HD- wala pa ding broadcast
8. Sony Entertainment TV- nawala, naging "coming soon"

Cignal is still tweaking/changing channels, so not yet final, will update soon.
