Bro sa akin, Dolby Pro Logic II ang lumabas, mukhang yung Humax HD STB na provided ng Cignal hindi supported Dolby 5.1

Hmmm.. nakasulat naman sa box Dolby digital and sa setup pwede piliin dolby or pcm pero on both selections, PCM na d-detect ng box ko.. defective kaya yung box?

What I do now is just manually set the AVR to PLIIx pero input signal ko is pcm

Maiba ako mga sirs, im experiencing problem in viewing Cinemax? Contact service provider... ang advice... is there anybody around experiencing this too?

Bro, dati kasi viewable sya, kaso nawala talaga. Ang balita kasi test broadcast pa lang sya, i a activate na lang siguro ni Cignal pang plantsado na, baka licensing issue. Same with the Sony Entertainment TV, nawala din sa HD line-up, baka may niluluto pang pamalit na channel, sana Discovery HD or NBA HD ang ipalit.

Update lang, may Cinemax na ulit sa Cignal, was able to check it last night. Hope that this is also true with SD subscribers

Questions po,

1. Whats the aspect ratio for the HD Channels? Is there black bars at the top & bottom?

2. Whats the aspect ratio for SD Channels? 4:3 or stretch the face to fit 16:9 (ugly).

3. I dont want to change my previous cables which is embedded inside the walls, will this work with Cignal?

True HD aspect ratio is 16:9
SD channels 4:3, very nice especially CNN
Upconverted channels are SD 4:3 converted to 16:9 (very ugly)
If your cable is rg6, then you are fine. RG59 might not cut it.

There are only 2 TRUE HD channels, this is the reason I am not subscribing to the HD only package at 990.

I wouldn't have noticed other HD channels to be upconverted had I not stumbled upon this thread. They are so clear just like the real HD channels.

sir gamit ka ng power pass splitter for satellite dish... don't ever use the regular cable splitter, otherwise sunog ang receivers nyo...you can purchase this power pass in Raon, along Ronquillo St.

pero kailangan pa rin po ng 2 setup box kung 2 tv din ang kakabitan di ba? di ba nagspisplit na mismo si cignal pagmultiple tvs ang papakabit mo?

yup, 1 stb for 1 tv...yes you can arrange from cignal dealer that kind of setup...i was suppose to avail that kind of setup when i was there in manila, bale 390 x 2 per month na babayaran mo for Cignal SD, plus may 1 time fee pa dun sa additional stb mo for your extra TV.. just call their Cignal support for more info bro...

thanks, i'll raise this up with the installer. maybe the signal and quality is not that high.

when i try to view the signal quality and strength, it reverts back to menu.

This company customer service "SUCK" big time. They choose to ignore their problem than facing it head on.Try calling their line, its either you get a busy tone or ringing without anyone answering. The cellphone contact number is always out of coverage or turn off any time of the day.
The last Saturday strong wind may have knock off many satellite dishes or misalign and they must have barage of complains coming their way. They now sit on it and wait out.

Because of this post, me, my brother and sister (3 houses = 3 accounts) will now abort our plans of getting this Cignal. Actually I've been trying to call them for almost 2 months now but could not get through, lalo na ngayon pag madaming problema.

Cutomer service is first and foremost so they better improve it asap or else walang magpapakabit sa kanila.

Finally, after a week of calls,email, patience.They fixed my satellite. It is now working. The technician try to collect 1000 from me for the service call. I said il pay directly. Never knew and was not told by Cignal there's a service charge. My opinion, if they installed it properly during the installation, it might not get misalign. My taiwan satelite is still working properly after the storm,D.I.Y. lang.
Anyway, Im now ready for Pacquiao-Cotto fight next week except when there will be another typhoon to blow it apart.

sa awa ng Diyos naman, since May ala pa namang headaches ang aking Cignal subs,, yun lng Pacman fight on Sunday until now ala pang notification sa Ch. 49.
