Onga 120 pesos lang yung Marquez Diaz Fight... and guys kelan pa naging true HD ang Star Movies? Ngayon ko lang siya napansin, unlike noon upscaled lang ang Star Movies ngayon True HD na ang broadcast nila astig!!

Discovery HD Please plerase please!

I have posted the quoted post last July 2010.... 3 months later HELLO DISCOVERY HD WORLD!!!! Plus More!!!!

I love Cignal na talaga!! Okay I forgive you na for making those intermittent broadcast kapag malakas ang ulan... Youre so awesome na talaga... I want to make love to you na... para dumami pa ang HD Channels mo hahahahaha

And oh may NBA Premium HD pa.. sana activated din ito sa HD+SD Subs! hehehehe

will post HD pics of new channels later

and oh, yung NGC may HD and SD version, magkaiba ang palabas sa 2 channels na yun hehehe same as Discovery both SD and HD, magkaiba din palabas sa 2 yun... hehehe

Newly Added Channels With HD Broadcast

Food Network HD

Star World HD

Discovery World HD

NBA Premium HD (wala pang Broadcast by this time na kinuhanan ko ng photo)

The rest of the Channels na newly added are on Upscaled Broadcast... Sana lang yung Fox and Fox Family gawin na din HD broadcast para makanood ng House MD on HD! Plus Glee HD for the Gleeks!

Wow!!! Another great news. All HD channels are broadcasting in Dolby Digital 5.1 sound. Superb!

thanks for this news, I use to try this from time to time until I gave up. Well it's verified! ...and this is the last requirement for us to commit to their 24 months lock-in period (we are prepaid subscriber).  good job cignal!

now the not so good news (for me at least).  We availed ourselves of the 3+3 promo (pay 3 months get 3 months free).  Apparently, newly added channels are only available to postpaid subscribers and we, prepaid subscribers, can just suck it with the old line up.  That's easy, so why not just convert to postpaid, right?  Well... its not a straightforward solution.... we still have 3 months left with the prepaid package we paid for. converting to postpaid now will forfeit the 3 remaining months.  In other words we are left with a difficult choice.... 3 months free subscription VS new channels.

I did got to see the new channels right before they lock it.... post paid subscribers enjoy the new channels, their great!  I guess we are stuck with the old line up for 3 months.  (I wonder, is there anyone here with the same dilemma)

To cignal... brilliant business minds you have.   Sa tagalog.. ang gulang nyo!  (sorry for this rant, I cant help it)

Guys, which is better, the cash option or the lease? I think I could save a lot from the lease option, specially since I got 2 TVs, but I'm wondering what are the pros and cons of each?

Thanks.

happy nga ako ngayon... had a marathon of food network with gf last weekend..

then f1 was a blast to watch at espn hd... just praying tha nba hd premium would be added without the 'premium' price.

just got a text from cignal tv kahapon. congratulations, we have now upgraded our hd channels to 9. at no cost!!

give us nba premium hd at no cost and my brother will surely subscribe.

 ;D

had cignal installed this morning. the installer told me it would be activated by the main office in 20-30 minutes. 10 hours later..... i didnt know that it would be so hard to get someone to complain to on the phone. laging busy 'daw' lahat ng service representatives. somebody replied to my text na 7pm daw ma activate. so far..... nada :'(

hayyyy..... i hope this isnt a sign of things to come.  ::)

edit: activated na!

I'm very tempted to get this installed with all the hype going on. can someone give me an average price of the installation fee? is it really 14k?  :-[ planning to get the 1.3k plan

Yup! true HD na ang Discovery HD World. Please take note also that Discovery HD world is like NatGeo Travel & Adv., Discovery HD is the HD equivalent of Discovery Channel. Cignal has the Discovery HD World, so malamang naka exclusive si Sky Cable sa Discovery HD. Nevertheless, magaling pa din ng Cignal to give 9 true HD channels (counting NBA premium). Music Channel na lang ang kulang, sana channel [V]-HD tutal may license na sya sa Star Network.  Great Work Cignal!

I'm going for the 1290 plan with 2 boxes but opted for the lease option. All in all, they say I need 4500++ to get it installed on the first day. Sana this Sunday, kabit na.

Has anyone tried using a splitter on the signal without subscribing a second digi box? My guess is since its signal is in digital, we'll need the Cignal digi box to decode it.

How about using a Skycable digi box? But I think every company has its own box to decode its own digital signal. Is there a third party digi box (open line) available in the market?

i think this wont work, coz cignal uses a card which needs to be activated in their database... (sorta like a sim card which would have its own serial number that should be activated in their system to allow broadcast)

the box is pretty generic i believe. but the card is the security..

ive tried using 2 tv's with a single box, yun nga lang, whatever channel i pick in the box, thats the one shown on both tvs.

so if i have ppv on, i could technically split it to 2 or more (if i use hdmi splitter) display devices which would enable them to watch ppv on different rooms,

if you try to change channel, the one on the other room will also change.

o nga pala....I totally forgotten there's a Smart card inserted in each box... So, it's out of the question na to have different channel in each room. ;D

Yes, the only way will be using a HDMI splitter. Actually, this is good enough for the time being in view of PPV (Pacquio fight hehe).  Luckily I already have a HDMI splitter....now got to find a "very long" HDMI cable... :D

before they charge 350 for Pacquiao's fight.

I think all you have to do is call them that you want to watch the fight and they will charge it to your monthly bill.
