stupid question (though baka natanong na earlier sa thread) - if i subscribe to cignal cable in cebu or davao, for the local channels (abs, gma, etc), do i get the broadcast of the provincial areas too?  or do i get the manila (i assume to cignal HQ) based signal?

you get the signal from where the cignal is broadcasting, which is metro manila signals!

pag lease ka, 230/mo for the next 24 months.  pag owned unit ka then you need to buy the extra units and it is free na as long as you pay the monthly.

hmmm... isn't that quite wrong?  you'd get irrelevant news and programming during those slots when the provincial signals take over the network's airtime.

at some point, if i were abs or gma (yung may regional news, shows, and talents) i best support the local non-digital cable services since at least makukuha yung local programming.  kawawa kasi yung regional hubs.

sa bagay, it should work for tv5 since isa lang naman location nila (with all due respect).

I just got my latest billing. I have two cignal boxes but for PACQUIO PPV they charge me one fee only. I thought they would charge both of my boxes....oh well that's good news. :D

i get the local station via ordinary antenna.

hello there.  newbie here from cavite, with a few questions.  i'm seriously considering subscribing to Cignal after i purchase an HDTV.  i read somewhere that DEVANT and GANZKLAR(?) are the "only" HDTVs that accepts/processes digital signal.
1.  is this true?
2.  does it mean that Cignal may not work on sony bravia led hdtv #kdl46ex710?  ???

TIA.

so,you think DEVANT and GANZKLAR owners lang ang magiging target market ng Cignal? all other brand and models ng TV e di pwede at all or will not be able to output digital quality videos? false advertising ang ginagawa ng big names like Sony,Samsung etc na "HDTV" ang binebenta nila? it doesn't make any sense does it?

care to share where that "somewhere" is that you read the info? im really curious  ;D

i agree, sir oznola, it really does not make any sense.  alangan namang mga big names pa ang hindi makakapag-process ng signal ng Cignal.  hehe.  i shall search for the website where i read it and post it here.

in the meantime, any positive/negative feedbacks from Cignal subscribers in the cavite area will be much appreciated.

di naman madalas mawalan ng signal, one time pumaling pala yung dish dahil kay ondoy!  :)

all satellite signal has this cons, anywhere in the world.  unless cguro your dish are the sizes of those TV networks.

in the meantime, any positive/negative feedbacks from Cignal subscribers in the cavite area will be much appreciated.

cavite/laguna area is being handled by VGA.  I am from Laguna and I have only good things to say to VGA's service.  Talking to them yielded faster results than talking to the cignal hotline.  I had some minor problems with (1) conversion from prepaid to postpaid (2) some billing issues.  Called up cignal hotline for those issues to be resolved but it took days with no clear result.  Called up VGA, they forwarded their concern with cignal (I was CCed) and all is well the next day.

It seems cignal responds faster when they are contacted by their partner... is what I think.  So now when I want something done quickly, I called VGA, they are very accommodating.

Guys, I have a question. Do you turn ON both receiver box "power to LNB" simulatenously? I'm afraid it might fry my line amplifier. Im using a splitter with line amplifier.

i am trying to install my 2nd and 3rd box using my exisiting cctv and tv antenna cabling, i already have the power splitter installed and my original box is getting good signal and quality.

my problem is that there is no signal registering on the box (both 2 and 3) but if i plug the aerial tv input there is a signal thus the line is not broken.

1. would it matter if the antenna cable is not rg6? to minimize signal loss?
2. what is the maximum distance from the power splitter to the next box?
3. can we series 2-3 power splitter to gain more strength and quality?

i do not want to lay another cable thus would want to exhaust this route first.

thanks.

I think you need a Line Amplifier. Make sure to use RG6 cables and Connectors are properly attached (Not shorted).

the problem in my case is a defective connection along the way, i was trying to merge 2 rg6 using a female-to-female connector, unfortunately HD signal doesn't like connectors...

i have 3 of them showing HD.

yup, i second the motion.

mas maganda kung sa partner sa area nyo kayo makipagusap.

Ganyan ginawa namin. almost a month na wala pa ring reply from Cignal. Nalaman namin na meron palang partner yung Cignal dito sa amin sa taguig. Kinontak namin, after 3 days kinabitan na kami and within the day naactivate yun account :)
