had my hd subscription since april 2011

my humax hd box twice na naging unresponsive kahit mag power cycle ako and hugot sa outlet...
the solution: i do not know how it happened but biglang nagiging ok na lang after ilan hours ko iwan for work...

several times na din nawawalan ng signal kahit clear skies
sometimes i wonder kung pinutulan ako ng cignal kasi lagi ako kinukulit to settle my monthly bill kahit na settle ko na and have no outstanding balance at may nakuha pako na txt confirmation na settled na..

hd channels often get pixelated kahit un signal strength and quality ay ok
have instances on clear skies the signal quality fluctuates between 40 and 60. as in up and down un bars nya every second or so...

hd video quality on a good day ok maganda albeit medyo washout kahit ano gawin ko sa picture settings ng hd tv ko
audio quality ng sd at hd ANG PANGIT esp pag nakakabit sa avr. sometimes un audio ng hd ay stereo lang sometimes sa left channel lang and yes i use the optical cable connection ng humax dahil via hdmi hindi hd or digital ang audio. mas ok pa na direct sa tv na lang ang audio para hinde ganun kahalata ang poor audio ng cignal. madami pa kami ng wife ko rants about the audio...

cignal hotline we called a million times for technical support etc... but always busy and many times nka hold kmi ng 15 sometimes 30 mins then the line just gets cut off.. so in short wala pa kmi nkakausap sa hotline nila.

ay if only meron alternative hd provider sa laguna... but since wala tiyaga tiyaga na lang sa cignal.
welcome to the philippines where consumers our charged a premium for inferior products and services...

@ Sultan: your first line of contact should be the team who installed your unit. not the hotline. better call them up and have the unit checked especially the LNB. Check the contact numbers of Laguna in the cignal website if you don't know the installers number.

@ thebat/questor: the Pace thing? I went direct to Pace to resolve the issue thru their website. can't just wait for the service provider to do something, I go for the hardware provider.

I strongly suggest to all to get the cell phones of the team/persons who did your Cignal connection para meron kayong direct line to them kse sila din yung service crew. Pag dumaan kayo sa office nila I am sure matatagal kayo.

So far, I am a happy Cignal subscriber - no problems at all. Sana lang madagdagan pa HD channels (me pag asa ba @ Pentium?).

1. Any chance magkaroon ng FOXCRIME HD na meron sa Sky?
2. Any chance na magkaroon ng new digibox recorder like sky's digibox iRecord?
3. Meron bang advance schedule ng mga future pay per views? or meron bang upcoming?

hahaha! the heck!! within a week my 2nd remote got busted already with me just clicking the favorite, cancel and the whole navigation buttons.. what's with this remote??

Mga brader tinatanggal niu ba sa outlet ung hd box niu pag hnd ginagamit? For example pag matutulog na. You just leave it on or tanggal sa outlet?

Yun box ko hindi ko na unplug 24/7 medyo matagal kasi mag open.

i keep the box plugged 24/7 as advised by the dealer kahit malakas sa kuryente. minsan kasi matagal mag-boot. as to the many lemon remotes of the Pace HD box out there, I will buy some universal learning remotes to see if they can take the place of the Pace remotes which are just biding their time to conk out.

I only turn on my hd receiver when I want to watch something. So far no problems naman. fingercrossed.

Un nga rin advice sakin just leave it open. Pero pag pinapatay ko nmn then bukase hindi naman sya matagal mag boot. Yung remote medyo pumapalya na wala pang 1 month sakin w/ Pace Box. Minsan gumagana, most of the time ayaw. Ang ginagawa ko nalang tinatanggal ko battery then kabit ulet so far effective ung technique pero hassle.. haha..

I think my payment is due thus July 24. Problem is, I haven't received my latest billing. I already emailed Cignal about not receiving yet my billing statement and said they will attend to me within 24hrs, and that was monday the 18th!

What usually happens If a subscriber has not made a payment on the due date?

^same case tayo wala ako na received na bill from cignal kaya ang ginagawa ko tumatawag ako tapos inquire ko kung magkano bill ko then binabayaran ko sa bpi.

Last month naka received ako pero ng tumawag ako sa kanila ang outstanding balance ko daw P1020 then nagbayad ako sa bpi. After ilan days dumating ang bill ko amounting to P1290 so tumawag ako uli para inquire yun bill ko disregard ko na lang daw kasi wala daw ako outstanding balance after ma post yun payment ko na 1020.

ask ko lang po, na install ung cignal sa bahay nung wednesday (july 20, 2011) afternoon. how long does it usally take to activate my account? It's been 3 days na, hopefully tomorrow eh ma activate na. dito pla ang area ko sa molino bacoor cavite.

@ jhun: activation takes 3-4 days with complete requirements submitted.

Pace HD remote? yeah, fail here and there... supplies coming in.

Billing? just pay your monthly subs fee without the bill arriving... new billing delivery service will be replacing LBC.

Ano ano ba yung brand ng HD box given by Cignal? Magkaiba ba yung humax hd box sa Pace box?

i think the pace hd box replaced the humax. that's why pag nag-conk out na yung humax, they replace it with pace. what's good with humax, according to another poster, is that you can keep on watching even if the remote conks out or is lost. this is not possible with the pace box. once the remote is out and the box is unplugged, you'll reboot and get to the what's on screen, from which there is no getting out of.

Sir sa u.s ang model logitech harmony one. Pero meron sila ibang model supported din kasi program mo naman yun remote sa pc mo meron kasama or puwede mo DL yun software sa net.

Bro check mo lang dito kung compatible yun device pag wala dyan pwede pa din ma learn ng logitech yun remote basta nasayo yun orig remote.
