@ pentium: Wala pang offer for Pacquiao Marquez pay per view? Also, kelan kaya new digital HD channels?

Kse yung destiny cable nag offer na:
"The Pacquaio-Marquez November 2011 fight will be made available to our subscribers through our digital package.

For only P 1,500.00, not only will you enjoy the LIVE fight, the package also includes a one-year subscription to WARNER TV, NBA Premium and RED TV"

@ pentium, bakit ganun? Activated na last saturday pa yung pacquiao fight ko. Both SD and HD channel already has the poster and says activated na. Pero starting today 5am yung SD lang ang meron poster, dun sa HD nawala poster?

What channels are included for the prepaid plan? How does this work?

Can I also avail the HD Pacquiao fight PPV?

Thanks!

To be fair, Cignal it seems has improved.

What I'd like to share is that if ever you get disconnected or subscribe to a PPV and have more than one box, make sure you tell Cignal you have more than one box whenever you make follow ups.  It has happened to us more than once that one box is acted on (reactivated or enabled for PPV) but they fail to apply the same action needed for the other box(es).

Guys, help! ;D

I need your first hand experience or expertise in the following questions before proceeding with the installation.

1. Main concern is the rain/cloud caused signal interruption. I want to know how bad is this problem. How long is the average signal interruption? In a month how may interruption do you usually have? Does a slight rain or medium rain disrupt signal already or only on dark heavy clouds? Example, the last few typhoons how was your signal reception?

2. Installation. I am availing of plan 1,290 (free installation) plus 2 boxes at 730 each (230 1 month advance and 500 for installation each). My place is 2 floors, 1 box each room in 2nd floor and a box in the living room downstairs. Any more additional installation charges?

3. If ever a splitter is required, a Sulit dealer (not pentium4) informed me that for that extra 2nd and 3rd box to work the main box should be left turned on. How true is this?

Sana lahat ng dealers is like pentium4, I got a sense that they were ripping me off since they are charging me for installation fee where in it is suppose to be free. I went directly to Cignal instead which in turn passed me to Strawberry pending their feedback.

Thanks a lot! :)

Based on my experience.

1. Light rains or even heavy clouds wont affect the signal, But heavy rain will cut your signal.

2. Depends on the ongoing promo for your installer. (I heard if you show a receipt from Skycable then you can avail Pacquiao fight for free, I cant confirm this)

3. A splitter is required for extra boxes, A line amplifier is recommended if you dont want any signal loss.

Guys, help! ;D  ey bro, here's some answer and i hope it can help out...

Example, the last few typhoons how was your signal reception?  search rain fade and it tells you this phenomena on ku band satellite feeds. however, to minimize occurrence cignal is using 75cm dish which is the biggest among the three DTH provider and using a more powerful transponder with NSS11 satellite. Plus, this could also be minimized if your unit is properly installed getting the standard signal reading as the lowest reading for your setup. The only thing that affects signal disruption is thick heavy rain clouds. typhoon should be okay as along as you have electricity, cloud movements is faster during typhoon reducing the risk of rain fade. in case of signal loss, it normally takes minimum 3 min and max of 10 min of which your signal resumes once signal feed returns.

2. Installation. I am availing of plan 1,290 (free installation) plus 2 boxes at 730 each (230 1 month advance and 500 for installation each). My place is 2 floors, 1 box each room in 2nd floor and a box in the living room downstairs. Any more additional installation charges? installation is free on your 1st box (manila area), 2nd and 3rd box will be P500 a piece add in the lease fee advance for each box. extra charges only on coax cable if each box uses more than 15m allotted plus the DC block.

3. If ever a splitter is required, a Sulit dealer (not pentium4) informed me that for that extra 2nd and 3rd box to work the main box should be left turned on. How true is this? 4 way splitter is charged P750 for a good branded unit, Main unit need not to be ON in order to use the other two secondary unit BUT is required to be at least on STANDBY mode if not in use in order to power up the LNB and provide signal feed to the secondary unit. 2 way splitter is P525 but is not suited for your need of 3 boxes.

Sana lahat ng dealers is like pentium4, I got a sense that they were ripping me off since they are charging me for installation fee where in it is suppose to be free. I went directly to Cignal instead which in turn passed me to Strawberry pending their feedback.
thanks for the compliment, getting more subs and maintaining a good service is hard, especially if you have a defective hardware being supplied :( but still we strive to make the best service for our area of Cavite and provide what we can offer to the fullest

Thanks a lot! :)

In my own experience, I seldom experience rain cloud interruption. Weird nga eh kse pag umaambon lang, minsan I experience this pero very short 3-5 secs lang, parang nag aadjust lang yung signal. I never experienced no signal during bagyo like the recent Pedring. So far so good ang CIGNAL sa akin (ang nawala sa akin 8 days yung Destiny cable kse naputol pala kable sa poste during bagyo). Very happy customer here.

Minsan walang sound yung cignal ko. I would need to restaet/on or off yung box then ok na. I tied to use the hdmi cable connected to the box-tv, connected it to a dvd player, walang av, then connected it back sa box, ayun na naman walang sound, naka ilang rstart nako wala pa din. Possible ba na yug hdmi cable ang sira? Pwde ba na walang audio pero may video amg hdmi o totally wala both dapat pag sira sya? I dont habe an extra hdmi with me right now kaya di ko maisolate. Tnx!

any Cignal subscribers from California Garden Square, Mandaluyong? Just checking if they install here (medyo vague kasi response sa hotline e) and, if they do, how good the signal quality is. Thinking of getting the P1290 package.

Thanks!

Ser trigo, ur signal levels are already above the minimum required. Your ppv may have been activated while unit was off, try to call cignal again and request for a ppv re activation.

Please note, your account should be active and no outstanding balance to get your ppv channel activated.

i went to the local dealer and they suggested they try it instead of the call center and true enough after 30mins it was activated.  it was still pending when they checked my account.  during the time i called cignal call center, my unit was on.  i even had to turn it on for more than 24h just to be sure.

hindi HDMI cable ang culprit, i tried using it sa ibang gears and its working fine. could be the box. :(

@ pentium4

Can you do an installation here in Cainta?  What would the cash out be for a 3rd HD box on lease?  Is it possible to get a SD box on lease even though our subscription is a HD subscription?  If yes, then how much would that be?

malamang di pa fine tuned yung HDMI connection ng box... kasi yung sa akin ginamitan ko din ng HDMI cable malabo ang pic at walang sound pero yung coax ang gamit ayos naman lahat gumagana.
