Wow 50% more HD channels on Sky ... however take note it does not have Food Network Asia HD which at least in our household is important to get buy-in from the significant other. Be that as it may, I hope these are added:

Cignal kasi is P1290 per month on 10 HD channels. wag nyo na isama mga Reserve channels kasi wala naman napapanood dyan. yung meron lang regular programming.

Mas mahal ung sa Sky kase different HD package yung mga HD channels nila so if you would get all the HD package ang alam ko, mas mahal kesa sa Cignal.

899 un package ng HD nila.. so kung ang knuha mong plan is

499 + 899 = 1398 php
780 + 899 = 1679 php

upon installing the digibox of HD meh babayaraan ka pa.. sa area namin mag aadd pa kami ng 2500 for the box.. kaya mejo costly ang skycable..

sa ngaun hindi ko pa masasabi kc next month pa kami magakakaHD sa area namin. pero lam ko walang palabas sa RESERVED HD channel.

minumum nila un 499 na plan para maavail mo un HD pack nila.

Reserved talaga yan, dahil next month, ASN HD na yung isa dyan.
Yung isa, di pa talaga alam, sana MTV Live HD yun para may HD Music channel na si Sky.

Sky is actually marketing themselves as a "premium" pay-tv service in our country so its expected to be costly. Although, they are trying to reach the masses hence they've come up with plan 280.

check nyo promo ng sky, free installation ng hd. you don't have top pay 3k if coming from digibox.

wag nyo na ihambing sa Cignal ang Sky kasi sa bundok wala Sky, duon lang meron HD salamat sa Cignal at iba pang Direct To Home Satelllite TV provider.

each provider system has their own advantage and dis advantage.
no bearing to compare ang dalawa kasi they are two different broadcast method.

be happy with what you have of which you can afford.

Kapatid ko meron sky hd. mas malinaw yung HD channels ko kesa sa kanya (CIGNAL). Sya na din ang nagsabi. Parehas kme ng TV. Eh kse direct to satellite yung Cignal whereas Sky - cable pa din.

Overall, I'm happy with Cignal. Sky is too expensive IMHO. I hope as Cignal's subscriber base grows, they will give some of the gains back to their subscribers by way of more channels and/or multi-channel audio. I think we can already see them giving back with the better service they are now giving.

Does anyone know what kind of encoding Cignal and Sky are using - MP2 or MP4 or maybe something else? This is the only way I know that one can be "malabo" over the other. Otherwise since both are digital signals, it's usually an all or nothing proposition.

Postpaid accounts who purchased their unit has six months warranty on hardware excluding remote control.
Those under Lease Plan has within lockin period warranty on unit except for self inflicted damage. that means only due to hardware defect.

Ano yung RED channel na pinapalabas sa PPV SD slot? It is being test run. Yun din ata yung free sa Destiny channel when you egt their digital box with NBA premium.

Sana maging regular and magkaroon pa ng additional channels especially HD channels.

Test broadcast daw nila yung RED until Dec 23 then Warner TV naman daw sa Dec 24 for 1 week.
Nice sana madagdagan na ng new channels.
