No other hd provider offers prepaid.

Yes, it is pricey bcoz u bou the unit. Instead of being tied to 24mnts lockin, you are free to load acct or not.

cignal strikes again!!!

yong mga nag avail nong promo last dec 2010 ng pay 12  months advance and get 3 months free, better check your account status now. baka magulat na lang kayo na di pala kayo entitled don sa promo.

eto ang case ko.

from prepaid 1290 nagswitch ako sa postpaid 1290 at nagtook effect yon nong dec 2, 2010. then nakita ko yong 12+3 promo so i paid for 12months nong dec 13, 2010. after payment i verified sa cs kung pasok ako sa promo and they said yes. i received the first billing (maybe few months after payment di ko kasi narereceived regularly), i called them again about the promo kasi wala sa bill. i got confirmation na sa end daw makicredit yong free.

i just waited until maubos ang payment ko. last month i saw na may amount due na ako so i called cs again to verify. i got confirmation again na pasok ako sa promo then they will forward my concern sa billing department para maayos ang billing. i got my new billing statement today at andon pa ring yong last month + this month so i called cs again to ask kung anong nangyari don sa last service report.

nakakagulat malaman na hindi raw ako entitled don sa 3months free kasi may outstanding balance daw ako nong nagbayad ako ng 12months advance. talagang nakakagulat kasi pano ako magkakaroon ng balance e switcher nga ako from prepaid nong dec 2 at dec 13 ang payment ko. at bakit ngayon lang nila sinabi yon??? ang explanation nila kasi raw advance billing at may around 2.5k raw akong dapat bayaran ang due date is dec 25. ang galing ng mga palusot nila kaya lang sobrang sablay!. pano magiging outstanding balance yon kung dec 25 pa ang due date eh naavail ko yong promo ng dec 13?

nakakamangha talaga kung pano sila mag-isip. kaya heads up guys! baka ganyan din mangyari sa inyo. sa ngayon nasa supervisor na ang case ko at 3pm today bibigyan ako ng update kung naresolve na nya or else escalate ulit ako.

Ganyan talaga yang malalaking kumpanya. They lure us consumers with promises, promos and what not. When we bite, they find ways to crap on us. Hindi lang sa Cignal nangyayari iyan.  :)

well... as expected i didn't got a call 3pm yesterday. at around 4pm i called the supervisor and asked for the status. again trying to explain that i didn't qualify for the promo. i immediately cut him off and asked him to escalate mo to the next level (manager). di ko pinababa yong phone sabi ko maghihintay ako na maging available yong manager. mga around 20 mins waiting, the supervisor told tawagan na lang daw ako ng manager around 6pm and she is alreading working on my case. around 7pm i got a call from the manager telling me na everything is settled and i will get the 3 months free.

hindi ko rin narereceive regularly ang billing statement ko. but just yesterday i got electronic billing statement thru email.

Yep, it is under the umbrella of mediaquest same level with tv5, ibc13 and other media outfit.

Mvp yes. Tv5.cignal.ibc.meralco.smart.pldt.maynilad.  Ano pa ba? :)

@apjc: gud for u, settled na agad but not after a lengthy discussion. Wla na kasi yung mga dati mong kausap last year kaya the sup/manager need to act to make a client happy.

So i just asked to downgrade my plan coz i cant afford to pay P1290/mo sbi ng CSR di daw pwede! E instead na ipang-bayad ko sa caterer para sa kasal ko, inood ko nalang ng tv?! Wala akong reklamo sa cignal, its just that kailangan ko mag cut-back ng expenses. So gusto ba nila maging "delinquent payer" na lang ako? Ok lang! :)

I dont think the csr has the power to do that, you got a cignal unit from them at no cost thus the lock in period.  It is fair for them to charge you of pre-termination cost.  Parang cellphone company lang yan.

getting married cannot be used as a reason to downgrade or discontinue your plan.
and it cannot be used not only with cignal, it applies on ALL service provider where lock-in is in effect.

buti nga naresolve nila or else malamang aabot kami ng DTI. buti na lang everytime i always asked for the names whom i am talking kaya may nababalikan ako later. marami-rami na rin kasi akong bad experience sa mga call centers ng other utilities ko kaya naging habit ko na ang kumuha ng full name.

may new promo na naman ang cignal ngayon makikita sa billing statement. pay 12months advance and get 2 months free. i want to avail it once makuha ko na yong 3 months free ko. laking discount din kasi kung may extra cash ka naman.

How can I exit the channel information menu without the remote? My 2 remotes got busted and Cignal said that they have no stock of Pace Box remote as of the moment.  I am stuck with the channel info and no way out.

Any help will be much appreciated. 

Walang ka kwenta kwenta itong remote ng Pace box, napalitan na yun isa pero ayun sira ulit after just 2 months.  >:(

have you tried pressing
MENU then OK button? to toggle between TV and Cignal TV remote function.

Not sure if mine is an isolated case... i received one sms text from a collection agency only this morning, stating that they were contracted by Mediascape to collect an oustanding balance of php 2k+. I am not concerned with the amount but disappointed with the fact that I am getting billed for something that have not been working since more than a year ago. I've reported this before and yet no one ever showed up.

Ever since then, I just relied on my existing Destiny and Skycable subscriptions.

I sms texted back and pointed out to whoever sent me that sms text, that the service has stopped working more than a year ago, and I've reported it but nobody showed up to fix it. Also pointed out to send my feedback to their client, Mediascape (CignalTV).

Also paano makita card # (not the account #) ng Cignal needed to register at movies.cignal.tv?

alpha numeric code is unique per box / account
it is used as finger printing by Cignal TV as provider.
once in a while, enterprising cable tv operators use Cignal TV feed as part of their channel line up.
when security fingerprinting happens, it will display that alpha numeric codes on your screen.
If a cable tv operator uses a cignal feed, it will appear on all cable tv subscriber on that particular channel.
when this happen, that particular code is associated to a particular account of which they can de-activate.
in effect, that account is blacklisted and cannot be used anymore.

smart card # is found on your inserted card on the STB.
power off unit, unplug power supply
if Humax; open right side panel of your stb and unplug the smart card, there you will see your SC number
if Pace; it is visible outside and can be easily removed

return card properly and plug in power supply.

The most basic Harmony remote works with the Pace box. The Pace remotes are clunkers and that's been established eons ago. I'm an HD subscriber but it's been a month since I've seen even a shadow of any HD channel. Nakakapundi talaga itong Cignal. ;D

I think they also have NLEX... and maybe, PAL soon too... ::)
