I checked my Delivery Receipt, and it does say May 12, so rightfully disconnected.  I will reload today.

Thanks for the info, bro pentium4. :)

San ka ba nag apply sir? Ako kasi sa mismong branch office mga 3 days lang bnakabitan na ako kung ano yung preferred date ko ng isntallation.

dun sa hotline nila. also, i think my brother-in-law went to one of their territorial partners in Marcos Highway and said the same thing to wait 48 hours.

Hi Dish Ent.. weeks ng postponed yung installation ng cignal namin because hindi kami makahanap ng welder para maglagay ng pagkakabitan ng satellite because sa sampayan lang namin pwede ilagay ang satellite ,the rest of our location kasi puro puno... i hope na matulungan niyo ako para ma install na ang cignal namin habang game 1 pa lang ng nba finals hehe...no problem sa labor charge ng rerefer niyong welder basta reasonable lang hehe thanks

Bro, this thread isn't owned/started by Dish Enterprises.  If you need to contact them, check out their webpage: http://www.dish.com.ph.

But have you tried contacting Cignal directly?

Wait for a call for the installation or activation? Sa amin kasi sa may malapit sa SM masinag yung pinag applyan namin 3 days lang and wala pa 24 hours activated na yung cignal namin. sa tingin ko mas maganda talaga pag sa branch ka nag apply kasi maibibigay mo na lahat ng requirement dun din kasi tatawag for the activation.

Installation bro. Yup i know the place it's near filinvest i think.  That's where my brother-in-law went too. Anyway, tomorrow na install yung Cignal namin sa wakas.

Update:
Cignal already installed our set-top box but i'm not receiving any signal from NBA Premium or any HD channels to my rooms TV but other TV sets in our house has them. any idea how to fix this? should i call Cignal?

Call Cignal muna bro, kasi kaka-install lang ng Receiver mo, and I'm sure there's Warranty pa.

it's all good na bro. the problem was the connector that they put in the line from the wall to my TV. imbis na connector ang pinangdugtong nung nag-install eh yung splitter ginamit nya. ayun di tuloy makuha full signal. it was actually stupid of me for not noticing that actually.

Cignal is the product.

It is the installer at fault and not the product.
They should not leave the subscriber with a non working setup in the first place.
Their territory partner should be notified of their installer lapses.

i agree. it's the installer's fault not Cignal mismo. problem kasi when they installed the units, hindi pa activated yung account or whatever kaya hindi daw na-test.

@xrampage: DO NOT use splitter that can be found on Ace or local hardware. those are not designed for Satellite TV frequency. You may or will damage your LNB or STB. Cable TV splitters normally found on hardware stores are different from the satellite TV splitters.

Sat splitter costs only P575 and will not reach thousand. Your Cignal installer is overcharging your for that P2,000 charge. We use seebest and spectrum brands.

Also, cignal is now migrating to the new satellite SES-7 instead of the NSS-11 satellite.  Subs installed with a non standard LNB by their installers will have to revert back to Cignal standard supplied LNB.

@xrampage: splitters re available in your area dealer, please check www.cignal.tv for territory partner. Please note that you will need a DC block for the other STB being used. Only one STB should be powering the LNB. If no DC block available, you may turn off LnB powering on the STB menu.

Where and why do we need to use a DC block?  I found a DC block in our SKYCABLE setup.  Thanks.

Question:

Nata-transfer ba yung Cignal Kit like yung dish at yung ibang components nya sa ibang location? Kasi balak ko magpakabit dito sa amin sa Bicol kasi bumili ako ng bagong LED TV, kaya lang mga 3 months lang ako dito and then lilipat na ako sa Olongapo for my work.

Paano kaya yun?

you can transfer. just make sure you point at the right direction.. better contact local installers for this, my installation charge sila though.. but if you want you can also DIY.. you just need a compass

Where and why do we need to use a DC block?  I found a DC block in our SKYCABLE setup.  Thanks.

a DC block is literally a DC Voltage Blockage device to prevent the STB to supply the LNB  device on your dish, it is used for multiple boxes only. on satellite, only one box is required to power the LNB, on cable system. I believe it is used also same way but not to provide power to the other boxes but to limit the power coming out of the digiboxes.
