a DC block is literally a DC Voltage Blockage device to prevent the STB to supply the LNB  device on your dish, it is used for multiple boxes only. on satellite, only one box is required to power the LNB, on cable system. I believe it is used also same way but not to provide power to the other boxes but to limit the power coming out of the digiboxes.
Ahhh. Now that's why the other tv won't have channels available if the primary one isn't plugged

Lord of The Rings weekend at HBO HD guys..
Last night, it was The Fellowship of the Ring.
Tonight (it's still on), The Two Towers.
Tomorrow is most likely The Return of the King.

Can't wait for The Hobbit to be shown in the cinemas!

@ert: you may put more than 3 STB on a single dish, the 3 maximum you are referring is the number of STB per account. you are allowed to avail up to 3 boxes per account but you may get more than one account per residence. like big mansion houses. Cignal will utilize 8 way dc power pass splitter for all the STB by using only a single dish.

@roygbiv: HDMI on HD Plan590 and above.

Good am. Ask ko lang kung yung UFC ay pinapalabas ng live sa fox premium movies? Sa Sky kasi by the time na mag start na yung show eh pinapalitan nila ng ibang movie. Thanks

Unfortunately UFC broadcasting rights in the Philippines is owned by Balls Channels/ABS-CBN, so Fox Movies Premium is blocked by all providers during UFC fights. This really sucks for UFC fans, as Balls channel only shows UFC in SD and 30mins delayed.

thanks for the confirmation. hopefully up to this year na lang contract ng BALLS. Kaya lang if in case open na sa Fox Movies Premium baka maging individual rate na katulad ng NBA Premium. Naka lock in pa kasi ako until Mar2013 bago makalipat sa ibang provider.

Does anybody know the remote code for Pace HD STB? available in plan 990.. I want to control my Cignal Sat receiver with my Onkyo remote.. I had tried almost every remote code provided in the manual but still can't control it..

And IMO, The Cignal watermarked are too intrusive.. They should at least make it almost invisible if they don't want to remove it. Just like ABC or CBS in the US, it appears like an emboss.. And they should remove it altogether in Fashion Tv channel because FTV sometimes transmits 3D sbs, and if you want to watch it in 3D, the watermarked gets in the way..

That's great to hear, thanks for the teaser information, bro.
Pero how about the existing Cignal prepaid subscribers?  Will we be able to trade-in our recently-bought satellite dish, for this new model? :(

Has anyone noticed how poor the Reception of ABS-CBN, GMA, GMA News TV and Studio 23 when compared to other free to air channels especially TV5 and Aksyon TV?

I think Cignal is doing this deliberately. These channels are far more clearer on Sky Cable.

Afaik

AbsCBN owned channels are like that, because they dont give Cignal a direct satellite feed for their program.
Same thing they do on channel 7 feed on sky cable owned areas. They make it appear weak, even if GmA7 has the strongest reception.

Give cignal a direct feed, and cignal will just beam it on their satellite.
What cignal does is they digitize the antenna feed in the uplink.
They dont give it a direct feed, else, sky subs will transfer to cignal.

A representative from Cignal already came last weekend to adjust some settings after the sw update
However, one of my box keep on doing an auto update  >:( . I think it is not updating successfully, so once it is done with the update, it will be fine for a while, then it will boot up and redo the update. Has anyone experienced this?
The main box is ok.

How do we do the software update? Is it automatic or kailangan i-trigger ng customer? Also OTA that means via WiFi and update right?

Kailangan bang naka-ON yung box between those times?
And how do we know if it's already updated?
Thanks.
