Mukhang wala pa po yatang experience yong technician pag-install ng 2 STBs (PACE-HD)...hehehe

Nasa malayong province po kasi kami ng bikol...sa Catanduanes po

Maraming salamat pong muli...this forum really helps a lot to find solutions sa Cignal TV problems...Tagal din kasi response time ng Cignal Care...

nag pa kabit kami plan 990 with additional box para sa tv sa kwarto. Bakit po ganon kailangan naka ON yung box sa sala para gumana yung box sa kwarto? Gnon po ba talaga yun?

dapat talaga naka standby yun primary box para gumana yun second box ko.

I guess it has something to do with the LNB powering.. You don't turn off the STB that powers the lnb..

Maybe its the LNB power, set both boxes to power your LNB, that way you can turn off the other box when watching in another room.

do not turn on both lnb powering as it may damage your box or your lnb whichever comes first

What happened to cignal, we lost most of the channels, right now the only available channels are from 1-43. Nawala na rin ang radio stations. Cignal HD subscription namin.

make sure your cignal account is up to date

for 2 months overdue, they will remove your premium channels
if still no payment made, they will disconnect you on the 3rd month

Colours HD just started it's Test Broadcast on Ch. 101... PQ is almost the same as ch. 27, Colours SD..

i have the old stb, the first boxes from cignal i think. i'm not getting any channel for the past couple of days, i just get the technical difficulty screen. are all the stb's, including old ones like mine, supposed to transmit from the new satellite? i noticed mine still says nss-11. is it supposed to work still?

your LNB could be defective
have it checked by your local dealer or call cignal for customer support.

Australia Channel added
not sure yet on the Jack Beam feed if will be included since it is in UHF

I don't know kung ako lang ang naka notice, pero na degrade yata ang picture quality ng halos lahat ng channel after they added Australia Network and Colours HD. In particular, ABS-CBN, Studio 23, Cinemax, NatGeo Wild, PTV, GMA, BTV, Solar Sports, FOX Filipino, Discovery, ESPN, AXN.

Cignal's claim that they have the best signal quality is a lie. Sky Cable's digital service has far more better picture quality esp for free to air channels. I've seen Sky on bigger TVs at 55 inches and malinaw pa din. Hindi blurred ang image. Sa Cignal, 32 inch na LED TV, you can barely read yung "parental guidance" kasi blurred na yung image.

If i can ony have a choice dito sa amin, I would definitley switch to Sky Cable. Too bad, I dont since wala naman linya ng cable tv sa village namin.

I checked the channels you mentioned... I only see the problem on Cinemax and PTV. the Channels2 and 23 are still same problem.

btw, send your concern to [email protected] because posting it here will not make a difference. not unlike you as subscriber complaining of poor resolution.. they might act on it.

I already did file a complaint about it even before posting. Why would I rant on a blank wall? will that do me any good? i did not post here just to complain but also to find out if others are having the same problem as I do.

I had Cignal HD installed recently, but I also maintained my SkyCable subscription - to test which to keep. For me, it's the PQ of locally maintained channels (esp. ABS-CBN, Studio 23, GMA, BTV, etc.) aired by Cignal which is poor compared to SkyCable's - even bordering on blurred. But I read somewhere on this thread that it's because there's no direct feed from these channels to Cignal, so Cignal can't air it as clearly as they want to?

@Talkingdongkey, has Cignal replied to your complaint? If so, what was their explanation?

for you to understand this issue of malabong channel 2 and 23 specifically sa CignalTV

have you seen the ticker on the bottom part of your screen on 24 Oras Channel 7?
"If you experience poor reception on this channel, call tel#xxxxx"

It is because even with a regular aerial antenna, a channel 7 feed is the clearest there is.
How come when it gets broadcast thru competing network, ay lumalabo?

they intentionally introduce noise to the particular channel freq.

in Cignal case, they dont have access to direct satellite feed of channel 2 and 23
they end up upconverting, cleaning, the analog antenna feed. correcting everytime a "noise" is intrduced.
why not use the ISDB-T box of ABS-CBN? they cannot because it is illegal to re broadcast such.

what they told me is that as the number of subscribers increase, the picture quality of the channels are compromised, but they are addressing these by upgrading and updating their system.

They can always sit down with ABS-CBN to address these access to direct feed problems. Though I figure it will cost Cignal big money on royalties and such. But then, we the subscribers deserve to have the clearest picture quality available since 1590 a month is not exactly cheap
