All my boxes are updated now, but the text messagesfor the free Pacquiao fight seems to be wrong 391-800-8000
i just sent sms now and seems to be working coz i got a reply from cignal.

here is the sms format. for the NAME i made my name 1 word (no SPACE between firstname and surname) kasi mukhang importante sa sms format yong SPACE.

Text SOFTWARE UPGRADE <space> NAME <space>

sir paano forced update yun humax ko kasi nag update na tapos yun pace yun Meron problema wala siya signal makuha from main box pero yun main ok naman.

i followed the instruction of pentium4, press cancel while booting, then lift finger on cancel, and 4 2 8 5 in that order.  it should then download and install after around 30mins.

maybe problem with globe. i used smart.

as explained by pentium4 few pages back, the update is to fully migrate to SES7.

btw i encountered a little problem on my 2nd box after update. hindi tama ang time pero wala namang problem sa mga programs. yong main box ko naman ok. i checked both box and found out na ang transponder nong 2nd box is SES7-NE4 while yong main is SES7-NE8. after changing the 2nd box to NE8 ok na ang time.

doing this just resets the STB. holding them simultaneously, the boot word will just appear then 2 lights will appear, then boot will appear again then the lights and so on and so forth. am i doing something wrong?

I have verified this and looks like simultaneous was the wrong word.

Press Power and Ch+ button alternately while the BOOT word is displayed.
Continue pressing alternately the two button until it triggers the update process.

Sorry for the inconvenience.

Brod, when the boot word appears just press "power" + "ch+" buttons at the same time then let go, it should proceed to auto update.

wait for at least a minute before you plug in back the power in order for it to make the complete boot sequence.

it takes a good timing on this unit, try the alternate or same time press.

Signal strength is now consistently on the high side after the software upgrade. Any news on whether there will be more channels added to the line-up soon, and if so, what these channels are?  :)

my main pace STB is already upgraded. having problems upgrading the second box.

what i did is to disconnect the plug of the main.
turn the secondary unit's LNB Powering to "ON"
disconnect the voltage regulator of the secondary unit.
reboot.
turn off (but still plugged in)
iniwan ko na overnight still no update.
also tried rebooting with the Power and CH+ alternate press while booting, ayaw pa rin. :(

Currently, yung main PACE box palang ang na upgrade to 106. I have 3 box. Pano ko ba update yung iba? Should i unplug my 3rd box to upgrade my 2nd box (vice-versa)? Dapat naka-on lang yung main box right?

press ch+ and ch- at the same time while unit is ON, follow instruction, just press OK until it tells you to reboot.

for those with multiple boxes and only main box was updated.

1. turn off main unit, unplug
2. on your 2nd box, remove the dc block connect coax direct to box.
3. turn LNB powering ON with single band for Pace.
4. make sure you have at least channel 3 (WIN) working
5. power off, unplug and reconnect after 3 minutes
6. follow the manual upgrade procedure. press power and ch+ alternately during BOOT display
7. once upgrade is finished, verify upgrade SW.
8. once successful unplug unit, return back dc block.

do the same on the 3rd box

When i startup my 2nd box (with the main box and 3rd box turned unplugged), it only says STB Starting Up, Wait a moment please. I can't change the LNB of my box because no matter what button i press walang nangyayari sa box. :(

plan 990 here. My problem is everytime it rains or there's a slight drizzle, the signal reception effectively becomes zero or thereabouts. Any suggestion on how to solve this problem?

True. I noticed it yesterday. Di maganda ang reception ng channel 2 lately.

There is no solution to this unless you get a bigger dish.  All satellite based have this kind of problem when heavy clouds are hovering.

sa akin kahit malakas ang ulan o kahit bumabagyo di basta basta nawawala. kung clear sky at mababa pa rin ang signal level, try to contact cignal to have your dish realigned. a line amplifier will help also.
