Sir P4/Cignal Agent, ano po way. Kasi I am a 590 subscriber then I want to go 790 and add 1 extra box. whats the best option? Kasi if you subscribe to postpaid790 yung box ay free. Then pwede bang magsubscribe ako ng bagong 790 tapos yung 590 prepaid ko ay gamiting extension pra hindi na ako magbabayad ng 230 for lease or 5K++ para sa box??? Kasi para dehado ako if I converted my 590 to 790 kc 5590 bili ko sa box...Thanks in Advance...

just upgrade to 790 and get add box for 230 per month.
your monthly will be 790 + 230

unlike for new subscription, monthly fee is P890 (P790+P100 box lease fee)

you are better off with the postpaid conversion with add box

Pag sobrang lakas ng ulan, yes nawawala ang signal ng Cignal. I guess hindi maiiwasan 'yun dahil nga via satellite ang feed. May disclaimer ang Cignal tungkol dito.

it is now minimized due to the new stronger satellite in use, unlike before
you still get interruption loss, same as with cable company. they source it thru satellite feed also.

How can I avail these? Hanggang kailan yung promo?

Plan790 is good
you can get it free install with a smart or sun postpaid plan or get it from SM appliance.
plus you get 3 months free pa
so, you just pay the one month advance fee. ;)

so sabi nila 2-3 days lang daw ang activation lets see what happen next update ko kayo araw araw. thanks!

yung 790 plan 890 ang monthly niyan dahil sa warranty ng STB.

kung saken lang nag 590 postpaid plan ako then upgrade to 790 after 1 month or weeks para wala ka na +100.

not recommended Sir...

the savings you get is not worth it to the security of having a full warranty on your box.
buying the kit will just give you 6 months warranty.
100 x 24 months = 2,400
plan590 kit is P2,190

update. after 24 Hours activated na agad ang subscription ko. around 2 PM activated na. so far so good naman. sulit narin. atleast MAY pa ko magbabayad laking tipid narin. so far wala pa naman ako nagiging problema. so far minor fixes lang ang ginawa ko para mas luminaw ung HD channels. instead of 1080i ginawa kong 720p para di masyadong streched. so far satisfied customer here. looking forward na magdagdag sila ng channels para mas maganda

when kaya available ang 1080P sa Cignal? or 720P lang ang kaya sa mga content providers? ang pangit kasi ng 1080i sobra judder..

So what happens if your box encountered a problem after the 6 months warranty? Assuming you're from 590 - 790?

according to cignal, for us who bought the box in cash, after the six months warranty, service fee will be applied in case our box encounters the technical problems..

My secondary box often cannot update the time, so the schedule guide doesn't work.  And hassle that I have to keep my primary box turned on, to be able to use the secondary box.

I just upgraded my stock Cignal LNBF with a universal quad LNBF.
  • No need for splitters (I use a 2-way, 1-port power passing splitter)
  • No need for DC blocks
  • Saves electricity by not needing primary box on
  • Slightly stronger signals -- Signal Level from 166 to 172, 1 additional bar for Signal Quality
  • Time and schedule guide of secondary box now updated at all times
  • Can accommodate 4 independent STBs (each box will operate independently) -- all boxes now considered primary

Got it from a US seller, ended up around P2,500 landed price.

Meron mga eBay seller na HK based (about half that price).  You can try them out, and have them directly sent here.  Yung iba nga lang, do not have shipping to Philippines.  If you do US purchases, you can probably course it through JAC.

If you check Sulit, it might be worth asking the seller johndingphil.  He imports all sorts of satellite related items.

just make sure your quad lnbf or dual lnb are universal 9750/10600
and take note of the freq gain.  if you can source out orig tokyosat, pauxis brands, better.

take note, some brands just simply put HD logo on their product to attract buyers.
get their specs to be sure.

Said like a true Filsat veteran.  Tama ka sir Sherwin.  ;)

The brand I got is WS International, a fairly reliable brand.  Exact specs as stock Cignal LNB, universal KU.  Chaparral sana eh, pero hirap mag hanap and mahal if ever meron.

Available dati yung quad KU na pauxis sa Eggpa Trading, pero hard to find na nowadays.

History HD is now okay with me...

It was also confirmed that no HD logo on the History logo exist unlike on the past History HD channel.
both SD and HD are now simulcast.

@pao: nice item :)

I saw a full-page ad from Cignal today - something about Dolby 5.1 sound on HD channels. But I'm experiencing the same issue whenever I select Dolby (instead of PCM) on the Audio Settings of my STB (Pace): I don't get audio from HD channels like HBO HD or NBA Premium. I'd gladly join the email brigade to Cignal about this.

Just wanted to share feedback I received from Cignal when I emailed them about this Dolby problem. In the initial response which I got by email, Cignal just gave the basic troubleshooting steps (resetting the STB, etc.), which obviously did not work. Then I got a call from someone from Cignal who advised that the HD channels are supposed to work only with a PCM audio setting on the STB, and that the Dolby audio setting on the STB will work if my TV is "Dolby-ready".

I appreciate Cignal's responsiveness, but I just wanted to confirm if this is correct (in case other Cignal subscribers out there have experienced the same problem). TIA.
We deserve better.
