If jones takes silva to the ground, then pounds him with elbows, just dont see silva winning, plus jones is really big and strong. I love the spider, I think he's a great fighter, but after seeing today's fight, im just not sure if he can beat bones. Hope im wrong though, was actually rooting for chael. Thought he'd give jones a pretty good fight, guess I was wrong.

Plus Spider is so slick, hindi basta-basta mahuhuli ni Bones 'yun.  ;)

Sana nga matuloy. Dream match yun. Sino pa ba lalabanan ni bones sa lhw? Parang nauubos na yata.

Chael didnt have a problemtaking down silva on their first fight. He did it with ease for 24 mins so what more can a much bigger and definitely much stronger jones can do to silva ifand when they fight. Silva and jones may be 2 of the best fighter there is in the ufc but they are the best on their own division. Making them cut or gain weight to fight wont tell the difference who the best fighter really was. Jbj vs spider may very well be the most anticipated fight there ever will be but the fact is its just for show and for money. Hell, even spider knows it. He knows he is at a disadvantage so he is just milking the ufc all he can, even hinting on the 50% revenue of the ppv.

I agree that Chael didn't have problems taking down Spider, but that's where Chael's dilemma begins, he was submitted on the ground. Think about this, if Belfort can inflict injury (arm bar) to Bones on the ground, so can Spider, 'di hamak naman ata na mas malupit ang Brazilian jiu-jitsu ni Spider compared to Vitor. Sa striking lamang si Silva, sa power lamang si Jones.

I disagree that cutting or gaining weight won't affect a fighter. Fighters who cut weights sila yung mas madaling kapusin sa hangin, lalo na if the fight will go the distance.

finally someone shutting the mouth of chael sonnen, sana di na stop ng ref yung laban agad para mas maganda ang resulta.

it was a good fight but i really enjoyed the nelson KO of congo, question, bakit si nelson di pa nabigyan ng chance sa championship fight?

about bisping, parang halos lahat ng fights nya nangyayari yung natatamaan nya sa mata yung kalaban nya

i didnt say that cutting weight will not affect fighters.  what i stated was cutting or gaining weight will not affect their legacy should jbj and spider decided to fight.  win or lose they are still the most dangerous on their own weightclass.  maybe silva has a better jiu jitsu than belfort, but i think silva is much more dangerous standing up and may have a better chance at defeating jones that way than being on his back taking bones' ground and pound.

We're on the same boat, then.  :)

Incidentally both fighters are sponsored by NIKE. "Bones Knows, Silva Knows", they both know  ;D

That punch by Nelson that KOed Kongo reminds me of the killer punch of "Mighty Mo", the overhand right. Twice ko na ata nakita ginawa nya yun sa laban nya.

Why on earth joe silva and dana white didnt think of that one! Thats a nice call sir! Even much more appealing than the cain vs bigfoot header.

If this fight happens, roy nelson may opt to go to the ground early since he has a definite advantage in grappling.  Big country is a black belt and a world champion bjj practioner. That is if he could take hunt to the ground. Dont put your hopes up for an exciting fight sometimes it just doesnt always live up to its hype. After all this is still mixed martial arts not a pissing contest to know who punches the hardest. But either way this has some serious fireworks should this happen.

If ever Nelson vs Hunt fight will happen, I don't think Nelson will go toe-to-toe with Hunt. I think Nelson will bring the fight to the ground. Mark Hunt has a legendary iron chin.

Disagree re: Silva and Belfort re: BJJ pedigree. Belfort is a Carlson Gracie BB and actually competed in both gi and no-gi grappling competitions (ADCC included). Silva is a Big Nog BB, with no BJJ competition experience. His BJJ is actually horrible by BB standards. Pure grappling, Vitor would probably submit Anderson 8 out of 10 times.

Totally agree. Bad idea to trade standing up with Hunt. His best chance would be to take the fight to the ground and impose his dominating top game and perhaps catch Hunt with a Kimura or an arm triangle.

Well both the Gracie Family and Nogueira Bros are respected in BJJ. Silva and Belfort are both Blackbelt in BJJ although they are both known for their KOs rather than their submission. On who will win via submission between Vitor and Silva, I guess we will never know.
