Silva was too cocky. If only nakataas yung guard niya. I'm excited for his next fight.

Just finished the replay. Damn. He paid the price for clowning around.

Check andersons neck when he got hit.... That will tell you why it need not be so solid, just enough to crank anderson's neck will put him to sleep.

I just don't know why Silva acted that way towards Weidman.

Well, kagaya nga ng nakalagay sa T-shirt nya "(only) Silva Knows"   ::)

i find that very unusual too, all the while I was thinking he is taunting Weidman to engage in a stand up fight kase nga kwon for his ground game si Weidman and Iwas even thinking na nasisira diskarte ni Weidman because of that but that was way to long for him to do, Weidman finished Mark the last time out with a knock out, saka yung sagot nya sa interview parang kakaiba din.

taunting is his style. just like michael jordans constant trash talk. its just their way of getting in their opponents head.

wala ng contract dispute si silva he got a 10 fight contract already. so probably kaya sa interview hindi na sya interested sa belt is because maybe he wants his remaining fights to be superfights that could mean big bucks for him.

But that was too much taunting. Konti lang siguro naniwala na kayang ma KO ni Weidman si Silva on a stand-up fight, baka kahit si Weidman hindi nya na isip na sa ganoong paraan sya mananalo. Unang salta pa lang, take down agad ginamit ni Wiedman, dahil alam nya 'yun ang best chance nya to win against Silva.

I think hindi naman too much yun. Taunting kasi can be used in two things. First you can use it too get in the head of your opponent, just like what silva usually do, which in most cases he is usually successful. next is to get in the head of the judges. You can make them believe that you are actually the agressor and the initiator of the fight. Chris, got an early takedown and a submission attempt that may have swayed the judges to score in his favor so spidey needs to make them believe that he is the more busy fighter. Thats why he needs to taunt that much. Usually after taunting his opponent in the first round, he gets to knock them out aftr.

this guy nailed it, all hail the backfist  O0
Quote from: Jack Slack
Killing the King: Anderson Silva
By Jack Slack on June 29, 2013

When fighting Silva, opponents struggle to hit him, and when they connect, he takes the power away by rolling with strikes. Rolling with a punch means to move in the same direction in order to reduce its impact.

In MMA, this should be easier than in boxing because almost all MMA fighters attack by alternating their hands—left-right-left or vice versa.

Boxers often double or even triple up the same hand mid-combination, which makes it difficult for the defender to turn side to side as Silva does.

Very few opponents have doubled up punches from one hand against Silva. I am not saying that doubling up would allow a fighter to knock Silva out—there isn't a simple answer to an iron chin. However, there is a reason why elite boxers rarely roll with every punch as effectively as Silva does; boxers are not as predictable and one-note in their offence.

I watched the fight... Grabeng kumpyansa ni SILVA. Sumobra sa pag under estimate sa kalaban... Ayun!!! Nakatikim tuloy.

Heavy blows to the body... Hanggang ngayon siguro pilay pilay pa opponent niya... Grabe kasing solid ng mg binato niya.

Jones VS Weidman na lang... :)

as he mentioned at the start maybe he's tired and dont have to prove he is the best anymore.we have to give him credit as defending the title for such a long time.pagod na rin siguro sya.and he has money na saka nasa US na family nya.

@ dreidrei

Para sa akin, that's too much taunting, you can taunt once in a while, pero to taunt the entire round, kahit break na, that's too much. Spider doesn't need to impress the judges, wala naman yata sya planong paabutin sa kamay ng mga judges yung laban. Sa unang laban nya nga kay Chael, gulpi sya the entire fight, he almost spent the entire fight on the ground, pero nag pa impress ba sya sa judges? Eh yung kay Weidman, sandali lang naman sya na take down, tapos ang ganda pa ng escape nya.

From what I have seen I think he wanted to lose. It wasn't like the Maia fight where he knew that his opponent had no standup. It was already documented that Chris would be a great challenge for him and yet he played around after he was already hit a couple of times with no offense coming from silva.

If Michael Jordan's dad was murdered by the Mafia because of gambling, what would happen to Anderson?
That awkward moment when I'm drunk and you're still ugly.
