I don't know if it is just me or meron na iba pa sa inyo na nakaramdam na something's off or something bad will happen before the fight. Maybe it was a sign :(

yes sir i got that too. somethings off with anderson earlier. as joe rogan said somethings going on in spiders head. even on the introduction. its not his usual game. he is at his best when he is having fun and show boating. yung mind games and unpredictability plus speed yan ang edge nya. pero kanina too intensed. alam agad na weidman na looking for a big k o. so weidman did a great job weaving off after every shot. i think he really is done and the pressure really got to him. like what happened with gsp. being the champion as he said in his exit interview on their first fight is just to big a burden to carry. if my memory serves me right, he really doesnt like to have a rematch after that fight maybe its because he knows somethings that only he could feel on his body. sadly natapos career nya sa injury.

baka na over train or may damage na yung buto, small fractures from previous fight or from training.

haay....still gets shivers pag naaalala ko. parang papel!

Yep, Silva was totally different today. When I looked at his face, he got that "afraid" look, which is a first. Weidman did a good job to defend the kick, and I know that he didn't want that to happen to Spider. Sh*t really happens. Sana na-KO nalang or TKO siya. I didn't want to see him hurt.

Na sense ko din yun, just like when I sensed Ben Henderson was afraid of Anthony Pettis. 'Di ba nga after the first fight of Spider and Weidman, Spider wanted to retire right away, kaso si Dana lang ang mapilit sa rematch, ayan tuloy...

Belfort and Machida is on the run for the MW Belt. Belfort vs. Machida might happen soon. And Weidman should be ready, especially for Belfort who keeps on knocking out his opponents ngayon. :)

Sakit!

You guys think makaka balik pa si silva after this? Or career ending na? Anyway, i think he has achieved so much kaya ok lang if mag retire na.

I don't think na he'll be able to come back. Medyo matindi injury nya. I don't see him walking in a year. He is one of the best kaso a bit cocky talaga kaya inis yung ibang fans ng ufc

I think you got it right, when an athlete gets things on his mind and not getting into his game is when things go wrong. People has criticized him for his previous fight with Wiedman that he seem to be a different fighter. And it seems bec of that too that Wiedman seem to be more relaxed than the previous fight.

Before that fight tinanong si Silva kung itutuloy pa din nya 'yung in-cage antics nya sa octagon sa rematch nila ni Weidman sabi ni Silva, "I always have to be me" pero all serious sya doon sa rematch. Maganda pa din naman ipinakita ni Spider, kahit sya 'yung nasa ilalim and Weidman was pounding him, Spider wounded him.

Here's a good news about the former Champ...

Anderson Silva has successful surgery following broken leg
By Mike Singer | CBSSports.com
December 29, 2013 6:57 pm ET

Anderson Silva had successful surgery on his left leg at a Las Vegas hospital after he broke his leg in Saturday night's UFC 168 against Chris Weidman. Silva was trying to re-gain UFC's middleweight title.

Silva (33-6 MMA, 16-2 UFC) tried a low, left leg kick in the second that was blocked by Weidman (11-0, 7-0) and resulted in the gruesome broken leg.

Silva's surgery, performed by UFC Dr. Steven Sanders, repaired his left tibia by inserting a rod into his leg. According to a statement from UFC, Silva's broken fibula was stabilized and won't require another surgery.

“Anderson will remain in the hospital for a short while, but no additional surgery is scheduled at this time. Recovery time for such injuries may vary between three and six months. Anderson is deeply touched by the outpouring of support from his fans and the entire MMA community. There has been no immediate decision about his future, and he would kindly ask for privacy at this time as he deals with his injury and prepares to return home to recover.”

The thing with greats is that you get to be studied by the competition. Eventually they figure you out. If you reinvent yourself it gets awkward because you you fight with your head rather than instinct.

not sure if weidmanns reaction should be that way knowing the opponent suffered a career ending injury, there would have been a more humane and sensitive reaction afterwards.

was able to see rousey fight, wow this lady looks like a machine, parang lalake yung kalaban ni tate and ngayon lang ako nakakita ng fighter na halos lahat ng wins using the same technic. parang WWE lang.

What was his reaction ba sir? After the "snap" kasi, hindi ko na kinaya panoorin yung mga susunod na pangyayari. Pero I saw from a forum na, Weidman let Silva's corner step inside the ring to check on him habang pinipigilan sila nung guard ata dun sa loob ng Octagon, yung mga naka-red na suit, which I think a class act from him. He also managed to check on Silva after what happened.

after he saw the leg snapped, he raised his hands running around the ring in jubilation, matagal din yung action na yun bago pa sya lumapit sa corner ni Silva.

Come to think of it mga sir ok na din na ang reaction nya is just to raise his hands in jubilation kaysa finollow up pa nya na iground and pound and tapusin ang laban via k o. Mas may sense di ba. They said it was practiced day in and day out and ray longo the chief tactician of cris even have a name to that defense its called the destruction. So talagang technique yun design to counter silvas vicious leg kicks

Its because his dream superfight of bones vs spider just disappear! Millions of $ went down the drain.  >:D

Machida vs. Belfort can be also considered a superfight, I think? Kahit wala silang belt na hawak ngayon :D

I saw Belfort among the audience during the fight, next in line na sya sa MW Title sa pagkaka-alam ko.

he truly is the face of the UFC.

seriously, 2014 sobrang kaabang abang ang mga laban. ngayon parang expect the unexpected na talaga sa dami ng new breeds na umaangat at nagpapakitang gilas.

panalo tayong mga fans :)

Well, that's the spirit!  ;)

Surgeon says Anderson Silva could train again in six to nine months – and is asking when he can return

Spider is 38 years old, medyo marupok na nga siguro mga buto nya, pero kung babalik sya may bakal na 'yung binti nya. It would be really great to see him fight again after that injury.

The cause of that fracture is just that the shin's impact versus Weidman's knee was on its sweet spot, right in the middle. I doubt if anyone in the sport, athlete even, placed under the same circumstances Silva was on when he broke his shin, would survive that knee check.
Never stop learning.
