I hope I did not start this thread too early. There's a lot of talk already about this upcoming edition and the audition is going on right now so I thought of starting this thread already this early.
I hope the ongoing audition for PBB Teen Edition would yield a sufficient number of interesting young housemates, lookwise and personality wise. This will surely be another venue for ABS-CBN to discover and buildup another batch of teen stars. I just hope that they won't choose the teen housemates solely on looks.

After the celebrities invaded the PBB house, Kuya will once again open his house, this time, for teenagers, 16 to 18 years old, as he announces the schedule of auditions for the PBB Teen Edition. Auditions will be on March 3 and 4 at NCC Mall, Davao City. Metro Manila teens may audition at the ABS CBN Complex on March 10, 11, 17 and 18 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Interested parties should bring a photocopy of their birth certificates, biodata and full-body and close up pictures.

Hopefully, hindi naman sana, but looks like it's going to be another star circle quest.

Actually if this edition will be handled properly it promises to be the most exciting, most dramatic and explosive of the 3 PBB.
Imagine bundling 12 teens for 100 days in one house without parental supervision, 12 rebellious, idealistic, impulsive and angst charged teens would be very interesting to watch. The selection is very crucial, I hope they will recruit the right mix of teens so that there will be a higher chance of having personality/character clashes. Conflicts makes the show interesting.
I'm really looking forward to this edition mainly because younger HMs means more raw and more natural behaviour compared to their adults and celebrities counterpart. Ofcourse that still depends very much on the selection process.

I've been saying the same thing to friends and fellow PBB fans. These are a bunch of emotionally immature people cloistered inside a house. That alone promises many interesting things to happen.

i also thought about that. while it is good "reality drama", medyo nakakatakot. they may be teens but they are still kids! impulsive pa 'yang mga yan. remember what simon used to say to teens in AI? he's afraid that the teens won't able to handle the emotional stress well.

I'm also worried about the emotional stress the teens will be subjected to. At least adult contestants already have fully-formed personalities, baka yung mga yan, magka-psychological disorders or suicide attempt. According to the UN, children pa rin ang mga tao hanggang 18 years old and should not be exploited whether they are willing victims or not. Calling Bantay-Bata!!!

by the time abs receives the parental consent for the 12 participants,
they will be responsible for the well-being of these kids
as long as they are inside "bahay ni kuya".
as some of the posts suggested, 12 emotional beings with raging hormones
stuck inside in one roof COULD be a time bomb waiting to happen.
with this in mind, abs should do its best to think of ALL the possible mishaps
the kids might do or the show might encounter.
and they should be proactive enough to formulate ACTION PLANS
to the imagined mishaps.
sa case ng mga schools, kung may mangyaring masama sa student,
as long as the student is inside the school, liable ang school administration.

For sure ABS will monitor the situation, also the contestants will have the right to go OUT if there want. So walang pilitan kung ayaw.

The cast is actually quite attractive, and seem far more interesting and REAL than the celebrities in the last edition. However, today was also the launch of Big Brother Australia 6, so my Reality TV plate is full. ;D

caught this at around 10 last night... had to watch it because a friend's friend did the interior deco of the house for this edition... very nice and modern design ;D
yep... almost all the girls are quite attractive... makes me want to get the live feed ;D
the guys seem okay too except for the first guy they introduced... medyo kupaloids ang dating since he kept saying that girls flock to him or something like that... but there seems to be a good mix of personalities and backgrounds... however, parang "stereotypes" of teens ang kinuha nila.. the jock, the braniac, the beauty queen, the angsty female, etc...
Let's see what happens... given the personalities and the looks of the participants, I'm expecting some "hot" action sometime in the next 6 weeks.... ;D ;D ;D ;D

Caught some of the intros of the new housemates--noticed that almost all their animated intros were using music from soundtracks of PlayStation and PlayStation 2 games, notably the Final Fantasy series, and Katamari Damacy. I wonder if ABS-CBN obtained permission and the rights to air music from those videogame OSTs? Videogame music also falls under the Intellectual Property Rights thingy which one of their talents (Edu Manzano) keeps yapping about; if the network didn't obtain permission from the Japanese copyright holders of the music, then obviously they don't know what's going on in their own backyard. :P

With the way they were censoring it with complete feed blackouts so as not to give away what will be shown during the prime time broadcast last season?
Nope. That completely defeats the purpose of having a live feed, don't you think?
And besides, any "hot" activity that might accidentally escape the censors this season would actually be bordering on illegal, right? ;)
Plus, with Big Brother Australia 6, The Amazing Race 9, Survivor 12, and American Idol 5, it's a bit (a bit??? ;D) too much.

one of the first task was to look for the dog named "Disney". obviously Big Brother had a hard time on disciplining the kids and giving the instructions. tapos 5 more weeks to go pa? what a riot!!!

Habang kumakain ang mga housemates ng kanilang pananghalian, nag-side-comment si Gerald na nagkaroon daw ng Rustom moments ang mga boys (tatlong boys to be exact, including him).

Sa kanilang confrontation with Gerald, tinanong na nina Mikki at Nina kung gay nga bang talaga si Gerald. At first, nag-deny ito. Pero kinulit pa rin ito ng dalawa. So sinagot na naman niya na joke lang ang pagsasabi niyang Rustom moments earlier. Hindi pa rin naniwala ang dalawang intrigerang girls. So, in passing, sinabi niyang gay nga siya, pero binawi ito immediately saying na hindi siya gay.

hehe for some reason, this edition is turning out pretty interesting... . First 3 days and we already got a catfight and a roxyfull of housemates ;D
I also realized today that I appreciate Mariel's hosting of this edition more than Toni's. With Mariel's -- you hear more dialogues (which is very important on understanding the scenes). Toni seems to have an over-spiel'ing problem (if there is such a word).
Btw, this edition is turning out to be not that bad. I expected the worst, but so far it's been pretty watchable.
Mikki is an interesting (strong) character (and so is Olyn). She can certainly bring some spunk to the show. But I think what happened yesterday might be a pulling factor for her housemates to nominate her.
I like what she said upon leaving the altar "Peace tayo for now....PERO DI PA TAYO TAPOS!". haha this girl is a winner; as real as it gets. hehe ;D

She doesn't know when to stop,be it in a comma or period when delivering a sentence or phrase..she is more suited for Uplate edition...

hehe I guess i just got jaded with Tonis over-exposure for now. Also, I hear more dialogues of the housemates when Mariel is hosting -- coz she barely have any spiels or prelude of some sort which I prefer actually. I hear in the U.S. there is really no voice-overing of the BB show.

I like the spontaneity of Mariel. That bubbly personality translates well on TV. Toni's on-screen personality is just put on for the cameras while with Mariel you get the real deal -- she's that bubbly in person (and very friendly too!). As for the spiels, both of them do read the spiels the only difference is that Toni reads her spiels while Mariel continually ad-libs and modifies her spiels so you'd think that she is not reading at all -- something she learned from doing VJ work at MTV.

Count me in among the Mariel lovers. We actually had "a moment" during the PBB Finals when Toni was getting all the applause and Mariel got just one really loud yell of support when they were looking for "mga ka-tropang gising" from the audience. ;D
As for the spiels, both of them do read the spiels the only difference is that Toni reads her spiels
You know, what amazed me from the PBB Finale was that it seemed like Toni MEMORIZES her spiels? I was looking for a teleprompter when she was rattling off a very long one, and couldn't find one. I was very impressed.
Did you subscribe to the 24/7 Feed, indie? Did anyone on this thread? I was feeling like I made a mistake in not subscribing after watching last night's hilarious episode, but that feeling disappeared after I caught BB Australia's free Uplate online broadcast. Definitely more than I can handle.
But I still feel sad that they're taking the decoder box away tomorrow! :'(

I think I mentioned a few months before that this edition has the potential to be a lot of fun. I think these kids are delivering in that respect. I finally got the feed tuesday afternoon, and ten minutes into what I was watching I saw that catfight between Olyn and Mikki, I knew then that this was going to be a roller coaster ride. :)
These kids have no emotional maturity yet -- more so Mikki -- that even the littlest things are so monumental to them. Just this noon, Mikki was distributing C2 bottles to the HMs. She tried to give Aldred a bottle by tossing one to him while the guy was in a swing (their daily task I think) and Aldred fell while trying to catch the bottle. When BB called him to the confession room to check if he was injured -- mikki started crying saying it's her fault! Funny stuff especially if you see her face.
The biggest reason for getting the 24/7 feed though is for Jamilla mah love!! Hehe. Good thing she's already 18 so I don't feel like such a perv getting enamored with her, hehe.

In fairness to Toni, she's really a hard worker. She really juggles a lot of work every single day and is really determined to reach the top. But she's also not that friendly. Not like Mariel who's really a WYSIWYG type of girl.
According to a source of mine, when the whole Season One gang was in Boracay, Toni was very grumpy and "plastic" and was visibly getting irritated with the fans that wanted to have pictures taken with her. Mariel, on the other hand, was constantly all smiles even though she was doing more work than Toni that day and haven't even eaten anything yet.
There was also a mix-up that happened at the end of that day. Toni and Mariel had already removed their make-up for the day when one of the staff approached them and said that the staff forgot that there should still be a photo shoot. Toni was visibly irked but Mariel was all game -- she just said "ok" and started putting her make-up back on. That girl's a trooper. She's also very sweet -- too bad I never got to kiss her when I interviewed her last year, hehe.

yes, mariel's so sweet. i got to take her pics nung gimik nila sa uplate na naka-wedding gown si mariel in welcoming sam milby na kalalabas lang sa pbb haus. she liked them so much that i got her to autograph one of the pics with "I love you, xxxx" plus a tight hug and a sweet kiss. 8) ;D

First time to comment on the show.
I originally thought this edition would be the most baduy thing ever. Mala star circle quest. Thank God hindi naman masyado. Hehe. Its pretty bearable to watch. And in my opinion, way better than the celebrity edition.
The housemates- Nina is hot. Oh god. Hope she never ever leaves the house. I just want to watch her all day.
Two housemates are from my school! Haha. I dont like them both but I want them to stay in hopes of hearing conversations about our school and possibly mga galit nila sa teachers haha.
I dont like Bam, the Cave Woman who never bathes and Olyn.
Kim's pretty cute. Nakakatuwa how she talks about farts and poops like its no biggie hehe. ;D

yeah, one time they were asked i think to wear special dance custume and Nina had to wear a sleeveless dress it seemed that she was not comfortable of wearing that because -- di pa sha nag-SHAVE ;D

Wow! PBB Teen Edition just got weirder! I knew from the moment I saw her that something is not quite right with Brenda, that there's something queer about the girl, but I never thought that she'll turn out to be a psychic! ;D
Being a psychic and having a name "Brenda" would not help anyone to be taken seriously, poor girl. She must be having a very difficult time dealing with her "gift" with a name like that.
Brenda's psychic experiments with her fellow HM's might be impressive at first glance, but if you think about it, she could have easily accessed those info on the net, when she was still outside the house. I hope that there would be other psychic experiments with Brenda that would be more convincing.
I wonder what the resident psychiatrist think about this new developements, maybe he's still in the process of finding out if it's a psychic phenomenon or a psychotic episode. lol

I remember seeing her inside the storage room with papers in hand the night she got there, trying to internalize what's written. I think it's one of those secret tasks that Big Brother assigns the housemates every now and then. Or she may really be a psychic! But unless proven otherwise, I think this is an act cooked up by Big Brother.

Ito palang si Brenda nagkakaroon ng moments paminsan-minsan. Bigla na lang pumapasok sa utak niya ang kung ano-ano tungkol sa housemates na hindi alam ng ibang tao. Hidden kung baga. Habang nasa altar sila Matt, Olyn, Gerald at Brenda, may bigla siyang nakuha. Kinwento niya toh sa mga housemates. Meron daw isang girl na dinedate daw ng schoolmate ng kuya niya. Tapos sinumbong daw ng kuya niya sa parents niya at pinagbawalan. Biglang nagreact si Olyn. Siya daw yun. Tapos nagkwento siya. Obviously si Fred toh. Di daw lam ng tao na gustong-gusto niya ang ginagawa niya. Iniisip daw ng mga tao na ginagawa lang niya ang ganito para sa dad niya. Brenda was talking about him doing military stuff and being really disciplined. Ang dami niyang information about the housemates. Mostly puro secrets. Wala talagang maitatago kay Brenda! Tapos kinwento ni Brenda na merong lalaki na nasa Smart commercial at nagextra sa Kampaneryang Kuba. Iniisip niya na si Mikee or Gerald yun. Yun pala si Matt! Tapos merong lalaki na habang umiihi may nakatingin na dalawang babae. Sobrang nagreact si Gerald about this. Obvious naman na siya yun. Panay ang sabi ni Gerald na bata pa siya nun. Kakakahiya naman for Gerald! Sana ako yung one of the girls na nakakita! Anyways merong lalaki na umiyak na tinawagan daw sila ng ABS at sinabi na nakapasok sa sa PBB. I'm not sure kung sino toh pero I think si Gerald toh. He was really reacting about it. Ang sweet na tao siguro ni Gerald noh! Makes me want him more! Tapos naiwan na lang si Jamilla at Brenda sa loob ng girl's room. Dito kinwento ni Brenda ang nakuha na about her. Ito yung information na ayaw na sabihin sa ibang housemates. Yung girl daw is working at a place against her mother's will or hindi alam ng mom niya na nagtratrabaho siya dun. Ito ata yung time na nagwowork pa si Jamilla sa isang club right? Ginawa daw niya toh para sa sister niya. Gusto niyang ipagpatuloy ng sister niya ang studies niya. Kaya siya na lang ang magtratrabaho. This made Jamilla spill her guts out. Kinkwento niya ang mga bagay tungkol sa buhay niya na sobrang nakakalungkot. Kung bakit daw niya ginagawa ang mga bagay na ganun. Basta kwento lang ng kwento si Jamilla about her life. Umiiyak si Jamilla habang nagkwekwento. Nakiiyak na rin si Brenda. Senti Moments! Kakaawa si Jamilla talaga. Sobrang ang daming paghihirap ang dinaan niya bago ang PBB. Pagkatapos magkwento ni Jamilla, si Brenda naman. Iyak din ng iyak si Brenda. Di ko alam kung kanino ako maawa.

actually, i have doubts about her authenticity. medyo malabo kc ung mga explanations niya about her abilities. or she doesn't understand it much. i remember once, after claire, jamilla said na siya naman daw uli. then suddenly, she said, "nag-shut off na. minsan nagsha-shut-off talaga, eh."
anyway, accdng to uplate last night, big bro's task for brenda will be revealed later.

A lot of fans of Pinoy Big Brother Teen Edition immediately admired and adored Jamilla Obispo for her sob story that depicted her as a "struggling teenage mom" who sold her soul to cure her sick son. But ever since she entered the PBB House, little has been heard, known or seen from her. She was nothing but a wallflower, a terrible bore despite her interesting background. She just simply doesn't put enough effort to win the game.
But little does she know, stories about her real life have began creeping up.
Her best friend revealed to Bianca Gonzales (in an Uplate segment) that "poor" Jamilla was a night owl who often partied at Embassy, no less. No, not the US Embassy, silly. The Embassy owned by Tim Yap et al, The Embassy where our rich corrupted youth swank each other out on their way up the social ladder. Jamilla, on some occassions, involuntarily fertilized the manicured plants in the Fort area after having too much to drink. Moreover, Jam lives in an upper-middle class subdivision in Binan, Laguna called San Agustin Village, with her sister. Her son Miggy's father was a friend of that same sister. That guy never left them as to what Jam alleges in her fictional sob story. She apparently hated herself for getting herself knocked up so young that she tried to perform an abortion on herself. Although she didn't succeed, it resulted in an abnormality in her baby, a cleft palate.
And what about Greg Lim? Greg Lim is Jamilla's Jaguar-wheelin' sugar daddy, whom she met while working at a nightclub. Mr. Lim, amongst other spoils, bequeathed to Jamilla a car, a Porsche to be exact, which she uses to go to and from Metro Manila on her gimmick nights. Yeah, she's that dense and dumb that she needs to fill herself up with alcohol while her sick son waits for her in Laguna. But Mr. Lim is so smitten with Jam that he threw a big birthday bash for her son Miggy in Alabang! And, if you haven't noticed, she's wearing Havaianas in the PBB house. So what is the deal with this *****? She clearly is living larger than what she claims! Oh the deception!
Just when you thought that we've dug up all of her dirt, another disturbing rumor that's fluttering around is that she never auditioned to be a Pinoy Big Brother Housemate. Reportedly, she only submitted a picture to her boss (in the nightclub where she works � Air Force One). Her boss, in turn, submitted it to a contact that he has in ABS-CBN. In her interview (as Natalie) for FHM (December 2005 edition), she said that it is her dream to be an Extra Challenge host. During her stay in the PBB House, she doesn't give any indication of knowing the housemates or the goings-on in the former PBB Editions. This led a lot of viewers to conclude that she is a "Kapuso," which only strengthened the rumor that she never auditioned.
So how can a person who has a car, drives to and from Metro Manila (given the high price of fuel), goes on alcohol binges at Embassy, has Havaianas flip-flops be struggling to have a son operated on?! I think Jamilla's problem is not money. Rather, it's her schizophrenia. Is she a downtrodden stripper who only wants the best for her son, or a filthy deceitful ***** who splurges on Porsches and martinis?
