Are you absolutely certain it's the speaker relay switches that are at fault? Why don't you have a good technician look at it first. You may have some loose grounding somewhere. Speaker relay switches are often very well built and robust especially in hi end gears. how old na ba are the amps? Is it the same for both channels? For both speakers A and B?
know what? i may be wrong about the speaker switch.. just this morning i was playing the amp and switched speaker A & B several times -- there was no problem at all.
it is during these times that i notice how good it sounds.. some complex tracks which sound "confused" and bright on other amps sound natural on this amp.
last night i played it for 4 hours continuously with no problems.. then i went out for a while, and when i came back, i turned on the amp, played a CD, and there it was again, that annoying static sound.. in the morning it was gone.
the previous owner said he hasn't experienced this static sound.. so i'm wondering if it's eating up so much current (power consumption: 830W) that i really need to put it in a separate outlet? its kinda sharing the same outlet as my 32" TV, DVD player and others.. but i thought it doesn't consume very much when i'm not playing loud.
