my apologies! :(

okay lang yan! lahat naman nagkakamali eh. :)

Well maybe sa longevity ng life or the quality of materials probably meron. Remember light ang medium ng digital transfer so baka kapag inferior material quality, baka hindi maayos ang transfer. For your safety, its better to buy yun mga not so cheapo optical cables naman if you have the means. Iwas ka sa mga too good to be true prices.

Difference can be noticeable depends on the system to reveal the difference of quality and materials used in the cable...

i think none.. but what is the definition of cheap -- like unbranded or Chinese writings on the package?
i have a Class A brand Monster Cable S/PDIF and ones that came free with the audio device (Yamaha TSS10 & LG SH5). sound the same when connected/used with NMT/TV to AVR..

I consider a 10 feet optical that costs P50 cheap with reference to my post:

Optical cables have different light transfer characteristics. But then again the word cheap is most often, subjective. ;D
Parang wires. They will sell you #14 pero kapag binalatan mo, #16 pala. What I meant was, those cheap inferior quality. Unfortunately, we have no way of knowing which has inferior quality kasi we are not knowledgeable in terms of materials kaya i said:

So to be safe, ANYA! Hehe!

the end terminations is where it is at...
optical cables are optical cables.....
can not compare to copper cables....
-
I have monster brand bought about 5years ago. Ok pa din. Mga around 800 ata... Mukhang ok din yong sa mp ni anya.. monoprice brand. Mura lang

a speck of dirt at the end terminations of optical cables
are enough to render it useless....
-
and don't bend your optical cable.
-
you mean sharp bends?
.....more than ten times bending radius is fine....
-
yes, you can wring it circular but to a limited extent, otherwise putol.. yan din mahirap kay optical
OT: digital coax or S/PDIF cable? where will you go if both are available sa NMT/Bluray player & AVR niyo? =)

optical wala ako marinig difference, pero kung wired sigurado meron. :)
