Yes. Please. post your review of WS and 9060D combination in Stereo Mode.

Kindly make also some experimentation on the use of the 9060D's Active EQ while WS is connected. And also when TONE is defeated.

I'll be getting a unit soon and actually heven't heard the WS-9060D combo in stereo although our past listening sessions have proven that the WS has indeed made some sound improvement.

Was it positive or negative?

By the way, just got my DVD 21.

Please experiment on this:

Try to connect the WS Out to the 6-Channel Analog Input of the 9060D.

Signal Input to the 6-Channel Analog of the 9060D bypasses all the processing and you cannot have the Active EQ, Speaker Setting and Bass Management engaged. What the receiver does is just to amplify the signal (Parang Source Direct).

Although it is a 6-Channel Analog In, connect the Stereo Analog out of the WS  to Front (L and R) of the 6-Channel Analog In.

And see what happens.

as you suggested, i connected the ws preamp dun sa fronts ng 6 channel analog output and compared the result when connected to the cd in.

after several playing, i cant really tell if there really is a  difference . parang a little bit louder ung cd in connection but  just very little. kailangan dito bro ung golden ears mo

it really takes time and a lot of experience to differentiate the quality of sound comin from high quality gears. Just like me, in the beginning i really cannot distinguish the sound comin merely from the kenwood AVR and when it is aided by the WS Preamp. it took me several minutes of focus to the sound to know exactly the improvement brought about by the preamp. Not unless u have the so called "golden Ears" maybe..

The Music room of Narayan is closed. So environmental nuances are lesser. So if the door and windows are shut off, it would be easy to distinguish the sound quality that is comin from the preamp.

di ako bumili ng paputok nung new year, what I did was I played Saving Private Ryan on OHAMA Beach chapter and whoa, sabi ng mga kapitbahay namin mas masarap pakinggan  ang mga barilan  dun sa bahay kesa sa mga paputok sa labas  .

It is also a great time to break in my MS speakers to higher volume ( 0  to +5 dB) and di sya bumigay, ika nga di nagbago  ang sound nya hehehe. I am really proud of my baby. Cheers to all MS and Kenwood users.

BTW,

I used to connect the MS 902 to B speaker out of my avr ( tinamad na ko ilabas yung set up ko e last new year e kaya yung 902 na lang) and I noticed that clipping will be heard if active EQ and THX are on. But when they ar all off,, lakas nya umabot pa nga sya ng +5 dB e sa audio cd   at ganda pa rin pakinggan.....

In relation to that, we had our office xmas party last Dec. 18 and we used my setup (9060D and MS 912 + sub). 2.1 setup lang.

Average volume -3 to +5. It was loud enough for the open area (done by the poolside). Continuous house music (ako pa naging DJ) from 8PM to 3AM at that average volume. The receiver was really hot. tinorture ko talaga. No Fan to ventilate the receiver. No shutting-off occurred. Was also worried baka ma-burn iyong tweeter ng 912 kasi iyong emcee sumisigaw na sa mic during the parlor games. No problem encountered with my setup.

Proud of this setup. Reliability-wise, I have proven it.

I Have a Kenwood AVR before V-777 something.  The remote has an LCD.  

But I have to dispose of it because medyo mahirap mag uwi dito sa pinas. sold it for 30,000 yen, then when I canvassed for the same amp here mas mahal pa pala dito.  Sana pala pinagtiyagaan ko na lang na buhatin pa uwi.

No complains naman sa sound quality.

Even bought a Kenwood Car amp which I still have now.

sayang nga iyon dre. Sana nga nagtiyaga ka na lang iuwi. Iyon nga lang mabigat talaga iyan dahil AVR iyan.

Ako my kenwood mini-comp which I bought from Japan about 5 yrs ago. until now still working perfectly. Bought it around 8k lang doon. Dito nasa 19k pala. Malaki natipid ko.
