Update:

I connected the xtreamer to the AVR using both HDMI and optical.

I then assigned it so that the AVR gets it's audio from the optical connection, not from HDMI.

So now if I power on in this sequence... TV+xtreamer. I get the audio coming out of the TV.

And if I then power up the AVR, the sound is properly recognized (DD5.1/DTS etc) and audio to the TV cuts out.

If I power off the AVR, the audio goes back just to the TV.

I'm satisfied with this setup for now. Now my family can just power on what they wanna use without too much complication and when I use it, I just power on the AVR to get the sound I want.

I think lahat naman ng current models LCDs with speakers can accept audio and video via the HDMI cable.

yes because Extreamer already has DTS downmix unlike the first egreats and PCH na sigma based. Kuha na brader, you'll appreciate your X10 more.

Anyone here experiencing 1080p/60 issues with the latest firmware?  Connected to an LG Scarlet LH70, I notice very minor (but still a bit distracting) flickering at regular intervals.  Other resolution settings are OK.  And then when I do resolution switching on the fly, then go back to 1080p/60, everything works fine for a while I think, then eventually problem comes back.

I hope this is firmware-related, and not the hardware.  And I'm sure it's not the TV coz the WDTV Live works perfectly on this same setup, same resolution settings.

I haven't gotten any direct answer to this here yet, so I assume not one of you guys experience this, only me?  :)

Depends...

I get flickering on the following conditions.

- 1080p
- content located on NFS server
- NAS/SMB application ON the xtreamer

This pretty much loads up the xtreamer's processing to the limit so I normally turn of the applications if I want it flicker free :)

Thanks for this idea.  I'll try turning off the unneeded applications (I currently leave all the apps running while watching on the Xtreamer).  I always thought the flickering issue has something to do with a firmware bug related to HDMI, maybe processing stress is the real reason, we'll see.

Hmmm... Xtreamer and LH70YR user here.  I experienced this only with Back to the Future 720p.  All throughout the movie, there were flickers all over the screen.

But my friend who sourced me the copy swears it plays just fine on his WD TV Live.

Amazingly, I found a setting that solves the 1080p flickering issue with the LG LH70, and it's surprisingly simple:  Turn the HDMI Chromo Subsampling option ON, instead of AUTO.  I'm not sure exactly what this option does, but sure solved the flicker problem for me!  :)

Seems like a bandwidth issue on HDMI connection.

I think the emergency FW is used if you happen to "brick" your unit during the FW update process. Just use the FW update you downloaded and keep the emergency FW handy (just in case). I had no problems updating to the new FW.

Hi!

The Xtreamer can play flash video (e.g. FLV format videos from the likes of YouTube, etc.).

I don't see support for SWF files.

Unfortunately, ganun pa rin pala.  This solution worked for a while, but after some time bumalik din ang problema.  Haay.  :(
