Guys, help me decide if you can...

My cousin is selling me his Sony Bravia 32inch for 17K. It's more than a year old. Now I'm wondering-- should I take that sweet offer or go with the Panny C10 at 19.5K?

if its me, i would get the new c10, even if its 20k. nothing beats brand new and the warranty that is included in the product.

Me too, would get the brand new. Remember that LCD also has a fixed life. Plus the newer model has better technology (e.g., contrast ratio, color reproduction/engine, etc), although I am not aware of the exact features of the 2 models you're considering, get the brand new.

Just think of it this way: is the P2.5k extra worth the joy of getting something brand new? For me, it is.

But it's the brand and it's well maintained. If it was from another non-trusted source, then I would think twice. Hmm... now I'm kinda confused too ^^;

Is the U model an entry level model?  If yes, then Id choose the brand new Panasonic entry level.

If no, then please write the entire model number.

Right now, kabibili ko lang for my mother, hd capable naman sya, kailangan mo lang
dvd player na puedeng upconverting to 1080p, whoola!!! ang ganda nya. you don't need to
buy hd tv kung alanganin yung budget mo.  puede naman like this model pana c10x.

BTW: May kasama pa palang free one burner gas stove from western(mega) kulang na lang lpg tank.

720p, 1080i and 1080p video signals/resolution are HD.

THough 1080p is a FULL HD.

C10x is a 720p panel (native resolution of 1366 x 768) and capable of receiving FULL HD/1080P video signal.

I was torn with the Sammy and the Panasonic C10, I was at Western Greenhills kanina and tested both. Mas type ko C10 sa Sammy, brought the portable Xtreamer to test for movie playback :) Mas maganda though yung X10 sa contrast ratio, blacker blacks a bit. But for P27,000 dun na ako sa C10 which was given for P19,500 cash with free burner.  Panalo na. Last unit, nakuha ko just an hour ago. Called other Western branches, sila lang may existing stock kasi, as of today.

question lang po, can this unit be considered a Full HD unit since it can received 1080p signal? medyo confused lang din ako :D

EDIT: late ko na nabasa explanation mo on the other thread :D

i just bought an upscaling dvd player and nagulat ako when i upscaled the video to 1080p at kinaya ng C10x, i thought din kasi 1080i lang kaya. parang may pagka cinema effect pa na parang 3D,ewan ko lang if my eyes are deceiving me hehehe

Hello!

This is my first time in this forum since yesterday, the same day I ordered mine @ Ansons Link Ayala (21k straight cash, and just 30mins after the Greenbelt 5 shooting :-D). I was eying a Toshiba Regza before (forgot the model number) and and LG (also forgot but has 60000:1 contrast ratio) but the price is what really sold me. My main concerns before buying an HDTV was:

1. IPS panel
2. at least 15000:1 contrast ratio

As this will be my first HDTV, I was not really concerned with full HD as I am happy with even just 720p and the bonus of this model was the full 1080p24 capability via HDMI even if I don't own anything that uses that yet but might purchase a PS3 sometime before Christmas and you really cannot tell the difference with a 32 inch screen and was really lucky that I worked for a major TV company and had some training and background with HD programming.

Right now I really want to clarify somethings:

1. What is the main difference between the x10x series?
2. and the other TH-L32c10? Is it because the model is a c10x and has 20000:1 contrast ratio? Read at other forums that their c10 only has 10000:1
3. from what I have gathered:
-European c10 model has an Svideo, I checked the c10x and has none.
-American c10 models only could support 10000:1 and the c10x has 20000:1, but this link: http://panasonic.net/avc/viera/asia/product/c_lcd.html does not give the full specs but the Singapore site has a different matter.

I know it is a bang for the buck TV, and I was only at G4 yesterday to buy some pants. Now I will have to wait until the 1st week of November to pick mine up and hope that someone gives a full review of this unit.

May I know the brand and model of your upscaling DVD player. Thanks.

Philips dvp 5996k. the movies i tested it with are Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, Speed Racer Movie and Bedtime Stories (Adam Sandler flick). One thing I noticed, pag Disney Movies (esp the recent ones), almost Blue-ray quality talaga.

And sa kwarto ko lang cya and maliit lng ung space hinde ba ako malulula.. And mga ilan feet b magandang viewing distance dito... Kasi as far sa nababasa ko ok na ok tong tv.... Thanks po
