hi there who can help me. I have been using the bright view CT torrent downloader a year now since Feb 2010 with latest firmware IBP10106251. Then 2 weeks ago, the torrent download no longer works. But the media player still works. I reformatted my HDisk to reinstall the torrent apps. no luck. I used port forwarding on my router enabling ports 6681-6689. No luck. I connected direct to the internet cable modem. No luck. Still no download. But my PC torrent download works meaning I still get an internet connection. I dunno what to do next. thanks for any help

sirs,

i need help. tried updating the existing firmware dated 10 dec 2009 with the newest version dated july 08 2010 but the device says that there's no need to update because it says Version IPB1009C021 is the latest.

any tips on how to troubleshoot this glitch?

I heard the AC Ryan one is better but I didn't bother changing mine since I've been happy with my Mede8-Tube.

additional question sir, how do I update my cinematube FW to this custom FW? Download the Custom FW, transfer to USB, then from CinemaTube upgrade software? Thanks!

Nandoon po sa link yung mga instructions, medyo tiyaga lang po sa pagbasa. Di ko na rin kasi maalala yung method.

Pagpalit niyo ng fw, it will look exactly like the Mede8er firmware. Madali lang maintindihan yung GUI. Yung AC Ryan di ko pa nasusubukan.

I tried the Ac Ryan FW for Cinematube. So far so good. Thanks sir for the link. And to think i was that close to selling my NMT due to lack of updates from the Manufacturer.

Please pm me link to custom firmware, haven't been using my cinema tube for a long time because of low audio, maybe this firmware will fix it

it was fixed by the custom FW. I tried it yesterday and happy with it.

here are the instructions on how to install it:

1. Download the alternative firmware. Unrar it. Save install.img in the root menu of your USB stick/hard drive
2. Power off the unit; unplug your media player
3. Hold the power button on the unit
4. Plug the AC adapter back (without letting go off the power button for 3-5 seconds)
5. You’ll enter “USB Update”. Please plug in the USB drive with the alternative firmware, and the update will begin.

also, let me know if you need help to configure your videowall once you had installed this custom FW.

I'm using Rev6 of the AC Ryan cfw right now. I kinda like the look and feel of the Mede8er cfw better. This has more apps, though, and it auto updates. Supposedly skinnable too but I haven't tried it yet.

Is it better? Can't say for certain as of the moment.

Thanks for the update. When I had updated to Custom FW, the power button was disabled, is there a fix for this?

ok, thanks! will try to update my FW to AC Ryan. How is the sound using AC Ryan? better than the other CFW? Love the Videowall! I had to sort all my movies to get all the posters and short review of each movie and its really worth it!
