Ayos kina Richie bumili bro. I have them update my Egreat with the latest firmware plus nilinas pa nila yung loob ng unit including the fan at no cost. Mahuhusay ang mga staff, di matawaran ang serbisyo.  Parang bagong unit Egreat ko :)

Nice. Hindi kasi ako masyadong mabutingting sa mga ganyan. I still have to learn it's functions and how to upgrade the firmware if needed. This will be my very first NMT.

@ennzo re: mede8er fw version 3

version 3 is still in the works, i believe the latest version is 2.1.0. based from what i've read at the mede8er forums, if your mede8er is working fine, don't upgrade it. the latest version is meant only to address the request of some owners regarding the format HD issue experienced with version 2.++

Got my very first NMT and it's a Mede8er. Ang daling gamitin ng remote. It's so user friendly. Though i have never actually owned other NMTs, as compared to some Dvdp and receiver controls, this is so easy to navigate.

Used it for 6 hours last night. Never hanged. Ganda pa nung jukebox. Pagkuha ko may jukebox na yun mga movies. No need to add pics etc kagaya sa ibang NMTs.

Thanks Ehome and Richie.  :D

Kay Ehome. He sells the mede8e for P8t. Very stable. 2 nights na akong nag-marathon na 7 hours per day. No glitches.

Ang bilis magboot!!! Mabilis pa ata sa cpu.

Congrats sir! Welcome to the club.  ;D You might want to visit the Mede8er forum for latest news and firmware updates, it's so easy you can do it yourself. Hindi mo na need pumunta sa shop to have it updated, especially if malayo sa place niyo yun store nina sir Richie. Sila lang po yata exclusive distributor ng Mede8er sa Philippines. Buti na lang ito nabili ko, and hindi ako nagmadali bumili before. Hehe.

Meron nang bagong FW ang Mede8er?

Mede8er MED500X Firmware V2.1.0 - 4 March 2010 [LATEST] - MEDE8ER forum site

Mede8er Change Log V2.1.0 -- 4 March 2010

1. Fixed NTFS driver problems
2. Fixed HDD Format issue
3. Fixed streaming/USB issues when no HDD installed in Mede8er
4. DNR (Digital Noise Reduction) default setting changed to OFF

Known Issues
1. Front bezel LED does not light red during standby condition
2. Screen Size adjust numerical display shows 1280 x 720 even on a 1920 x 1080 display
3. Format menu shows HDD1 and HDD2, while it should only show HDD1
4. When using a NTFS-only formatted internal disk (not formatted from mede8er menu), SAMBA needs some buffering between file copies that show up as a pause between the copies. There is also an approximate 1 minute pause before transfer begins.
5. DVD menu misaligned when DVD has 16:9 menu
6. Screensaver may come on intermittently during playback of multiple movie files in same folder.
7. DVD structure playback prompts a RESUME dialogue even if DVD was not viewed before.

Thanks.

The listed known issues are no big deal personally so pass muna ako sa FW update.

Im hoping for native BD rip playback that is as convenient as that of A200, and if at all possible, HD audio pass-thru.

As it is, Im quite satisfied with the Xmas 2009 Mede8er FW.  Very stable and reliable for my applications.

Do keep us posted and enjoy your Mede8er!

FW noted. No issues pa naman cuz bago pa ang unit ko.  :)

Question lang:

Is the Mede8er multi-tasking? Can i copy from 1HDD from another while simultaneously playing or watching a movie?

Actually sir if I may suggest lang... the JAN 2010 is the best FW so far :) you will see the difference kapag nag update ka from DEC to JAN FW :) FYI lang po...yun kasi ang situation ko before..

When I got my Mede8er bago mag-bagong-taon (30th or 31st Dec yata), I recall Mede8er released a major FW update on 24th Dec and immediately followed that with another update.   So yung update-to-24th-Dec-update ang FW ko.  Im not sure if another update was released within January 2010.   Cheers!

Initially, I had some problems with its file system since my external drive is Mac-formatted and my spare internal drive is busted. But after converting to NTFS (had to download NTFS formatting software for Mac), everything's running exceptionally well. Now, I'm having as much fun creating movie GUI's as watching the movies themselves. Glad that I got this player (just last Saturday, actually). It's a HUGE improvement from my WD TV experience. I'm now anticipating FW v.3, which some say will have a major GUI upgrade.

Im missing my Mede8er tuloy.  Hehehe.

I really want to see for myself how beloved(s) Mede8er and A200 perform against each other especially now that arguably the greatest encoder in the world at the moment is gradually shifting to BD25 in lieu of 1080p mkv.

Enjoy!

I have been using the Mede8er for a few months now, and it has given me a TROUBLE-FREE experience.  In fact, I have recommended it to friends already.  Plus the service from E-home is great!

Sa mga newbies like me, or those who want a simple-to-operate, trouble-free system, just get the Mede8er with a 2TB internal hard-disk (good for around 200 movies) and you are good-to-go for the next 2 years.

Very portable pa and convenient to bring to out-of-town trips and show to friends, coz you only bring 1 unit since the hard-drive is INSIDE the unit, unlike the others which uses external hard-drives.

Thumbs up!   :)

Mede8er unit is 8K.  Since I got my unit several months ago, i dunno how much na ang hard-drive price.  I think I got my 2 TB for 11K or less.   It could be lower now.

Just call e-home na lang to ask for definite quote.

last i asked its 8.5k for the nmt. mapapamahal ka sa 2tb na internal, get a 1.5tb for just 8k versus the 6+k for 1tb or 11k2tb hdd.
